Kirstie Alley Is Going After Leah Remini

I can almost hear Kirstie Alley cackling when she writes the Tweets above. Both directed at Leah Remini and both written while she was at a meeting of other celebrities at the home of Leah Remini's former best friend. Yeah, they had the meeting there. According to Tony Ortega, Kirstie and other celebrity Scientologists wanted to know what was going to be done about Leah leaving. Unlike other religions where you wish them well and maybe go visit them at their new church while you continue to hang out together, at Scientology you go to war with them and try and make their lives as miserable as possible. Leah has some protection because she is a celebrity. She also has Tony Ortega in her corner. There is only so much the Scientologists can do to Leah without showing they are out of control and making themselves look bad. When they do that, then people stop coming in the door which means no more funds.

Did her husband and child also leave? I was just wondering if they were involved in all this.

Wonder if Leah knows anything about Shelley's whereabouts?

AJ said...

How much would you like to bet that the CO$ is having her followed ? She isn't super famous but if suddenly she disappeared or something happened to her, I think quite a few people would sit up and take notice. I truly believe those crazy scientologists will stop at nothing to keep their tax break, I mean religion safe.

And where in the world is Shelly ?!? That's what started all this.

Where's Shelly?

How insane

I've attended those meetings before. I hope that Leah doesn't have a dog because that's who they're going after first. Any skeletons in her closet will be leaked to the tabloids.

She's lucky that her family is high up in CoS; David won't want to risk losing more money in case they defect, too, so they won't hit her as hard as others.

If only *I* had influential family members, maybe I wouldn't be stuck in this tiny cell.

Kirstey would totally eat anyone, friend or not, if syrup were involved.

Has anyone heard the song "Fat Swine" by Crunt? Totes about Kirst ie.

Apparently, KA is in fourth grade or something. FFS.

Considering how much the public HATES that stupid COS cult, Kirstie's shit ass attitude will backfire on her. And yes, I hope Leah has some good bodyguards with her everywhere she goes or she might end up like that cult leader's wife--either dead or locked up somewhere.

DAMD Tech said...

AJ, you've hit it on the nose, it's all about the money-scamming it and then protecting what you've stolen from taxes. When we grow up as a country we will realize how the tax loophole for religious reasons has opened the way for scam artists of all types and close it down. When we grow up as a culture we will realize that all organized religion is a scam and let go of it then we will grow as people.
B Smears, lol!

Thanks for checking in Shelly!

@Molls, I'm alive, just locked up. Tony Ortega and Agent **It are the only ones trying to find me.

I'm very impressed by Leah now.

Shelley!! We're looking for you!!!

Kirstie is batshit. I also wonder just what do they have on her?

AJ said...

TY :)

The whole vibe I've gotton from them is cultish. I really just can't understand how anyone can be blinded by the wheel barrow of BS that they constitutes a religion. I was Byzantine catholic and that's some strict ways there but as I grew older and away from my church, I saw that really the only point of a church is to create a family unit or community that will rally around you. Other than that, religion is just one big money making machine. Sad that people need to believe in something so desperately that they will blindly follow their "faith" & church.
And I stop my rant and step off my soap box.

AJ said...

Me too. Makes me like her more. Never really watched much she was in but now I may have too.

Burn Book said...

@Mouse, they have recorded all of her auditing sessions as they do everyone. She has said many things that are damaging to her character, but nothing that will hurt public opinion of her because she can always claim that she was forced to speak that way. It's definitely nothing that she would allow herself to be blackmailed over.

Glitter said...

You know, Kirstie, that's a little bit scary.

bruce said...

this is typical scientology behavior when someone leaves the church...i would have been more surprised if she hadn't done something like this.

MISCH said...

Surprised I though Kristie wanted out also..

Leah is a sitcom star, which means she comes into people's homes again and again on reruns of King of Queens. I would imagine she has a lot of public goodwill stored up. They would have to be very artful to take her down, and I don't know how artful they are these days - they've lost a lot of key players.

Noted on Tony Ortega's site that Jessica Feldbush, who was once Katie Holmes' sciento-minder, and Tommy Davis, the former top press secretary who looks suspiciously like Suri, have married and left day-to-day business of the cult. She's now a real estate agent in Texas and he's a hedge fund guy and calls himself "Thomas."

@DAMD, your statement - "When we grow up as a culture we will realize that all organized religion is a scam and let go of it then we will grow as people" is pretty pompous.

Agnosticism/atheism may work for you and that's great, but that's no reason to piss on other people's beliefs and the good that comes from them. Was Rev. Martin Luther King a scam artist? Gandhi? Dorothy Day?

Barton Fink said...

You know, even as a Scio I liked her. She does have a good public image and she is quite likeable. Good on her!

discoflux said...

Leah has been dealing with these ass gaskets long enough that I would presume she'd have taken some precautions before her departure.

Here's hoping for some juicy info, though!!

DAMD Tech said...

Nutty, let me clarify-I am neither agnostic nor atheist but I can see both/all sides. What spiritual practice I may have is not important-looking at everything with an objective and non-dogmatic eye is. I do not claim any one religion is better than any other but am more concerned with the effect these systems have on us as a whole. Organized religion of the western type which is based on Judeo-Christian-Islamic belief which are all Semetic in origin are based on fear and control. I am not pissing on them but just pointing out what I see. Cults like COS and Mormonism exploit and build upon our cultural systems to further control and financially control their followers.
My point is, if you hold your own religious practice as above another you will therefore overlook some facets of that belief system while condemning the same trait in another thereby mitigating your criticism. This is the process by which newer systems or cults gain legitimacy in our eyes-because we are already looking the other way at behaviors which we have accepted on some level.

Am I wrong to want larger shoulderpads on the Shelly Miscavage photo? I'm not getting the full Joan Collins effect, and strangely that hair makes me yearn for more!

Anonymous said...

it's not a religion, it's a business, and the blackmail, control and smear campaign against her is just beginning. That's how they keep people from leaving, they have hours of "confessions" of all their parishioners deepest secrets and uncomfortable feelings about themselves.

Anonymous said...

I'm not afraid to say it:

WHERE THE F$%^ IS SHELLY MISCAVIGE?!

crila16 said...

Kirstie must have A LOT of skeletons she doesn't want getting out, which is why she's sticking up for that god awful cult. Deep down, she's probably wishing she could run too.

Note to self, download the full series Dallas. End note.

HannahBanana said...

This is so messed up...last time I looked freedom of religion/freedom of choice in that matter is still alive & well in the US. Why do these ppl go after ppl for leaving?! It is her right to decide if this is no longer benefitting her.

And Kirstie, go eat another bottle of syrup & STFU. They all need to be sent to xenu, ya know their home planet.

AJ said...

I think this is most likely the case for many celebrity's in the " church " bc their image is how they make money. Shattering the illusion and public personality they have created would be detrimental to their way of life and earning capacities. At least this what they probably feel & are being told by CO$.

In reality, I think many people would support them, if they left and were honest about themselves.

The Dude said...

Thought they were BFF's? Guess everyone now knows what kind of "friend" KA is, betrayal will come back to bite her.

Mango said...

Perhaps now that Leah isn't making the big bank that she was on KoQ and that talk show, hopefully the Co$ won't mind too much that's she's left their little cult... if she can keep her mouth shut, at least for a little while.

Someone should distract Kirstie with a freshly baked pie.

I hope Carrie Heffernan (King of Queens is one of my guilty pleasures) & her family are safe. I'm proud of her for standing up to these psychos.

I don't think the COS is a cult or even a Church. I see it as a straight up scam. But, I don't think too many within the Church are in on it, just Miscavaige and a few others in the top echelon of mgt. I doubt Cruise, Travolta, Alley or any of the other celebs are in on the scam. As for Shelley, her long term disappearance is a real puzzler. I honestly wonder if, because of what she knows about the scam, she was murdered or if she is being held against her will somewhere.

Cornbread said...

I have new respect for Leah, glad she flew the coop. But I'm still going to watch Look Who's Talking. I don't know what it is about that movie, but it's a good laugh. So are a few of Kirstie's episodes of Cheers.

BTW, what ever happened to Agent **It? I've been absent from CDAN for a few months.

MichaelaK said...

@Cornbread, Agent **It kept asking "where's Shelly?" My guess is Agent **it involuntarily joined Shelly and they are now slaving away at the shredder with Leah Remini's files.

saycheese said...

I was just going to say, I guess COS got Agent*it for always asking where's shelly??

sandybrook said...

Although xenu's ideas for life seem to be more rational than what is presented as fact in bibles this isn't religion its a cult with brainwashed members who are totally devoted to the cause and defectors are enemies who are willing to expose them as frauds. (Nice run on sentence I'm proud!)

Megley said...

Whomever wrote this item: You are so wrong that there is only so much they can do to her. She has been audited, in which she has to reveal all the dirt in her life. They have more power over her than you know.

Why do you think Travolta hasn't left?

Burn Book said...

@MichaelaK, Agent isn't with me. I think that she's had to go undercover to help Tony Ortega uncover my whereabouts. The $cientologists were after her for asking where I was all the time. I'd tell them where I am if they hasn't put a bag over my head during the entire drive.

I'm no expert, but read Going Clear. It's all about COS and paints a very grim/realistic picture. And it has a lot of cult characteristics like forced labor, starvation, etc.

Leah Remini A Tough Woman

Unknown said...

Let's face it. Kirstie is only relevant now because she is Scientologist and takes every opportunity to keep her one of their faces. It would be impossible for her not to respond - even if only a tweet. She would like a press conference but no one would come unless a TMZ hack outside a restaurant.

Unknown said...

Come to think of it- that is where we will here from her next - on the street with a pap stringer.

I am really looking forward to the day this cult is brought to its knees. I know that most members are normals and that the celebs are even often left in the dark (Paul Haggis was in for years before he was told the Xenu story and was totally confused b/c of COURSE it's ridiculous) so there will be many members totally confused about the real church. But I consider it a public service to save them from a cult. And screw the ones who know what's up and plow ahead.

@cornbrerad, I have been wondering about agent ..it for months. I hope she is ok, she was a favorite commenter of mine. Last I remember her was around February plus or minus. Btw, I'm so glad b profane is back too.

Kirstie Alley is fat & ugly. Can't stand her.

Cornbread said...

@jel, there are a few who were gone that I'm glad to see back, too. I thought I'd have plenty of CDAN time when I was on maternity leave. Ha! :)

I think there are two boards elsewhere that folks hang out on. Probably why we don't see them here.

Almost all the Scienos don't know about Xenu until they reach high levels. Jenna M-Hill didn't know about Xenu until she saw the South Park ep about Scientology.

Where's Shelly?

LOL @Amanda's wig, that wouldn't surprise surprise me at all. Kirstie probably has a monster - Alien style - inside her that devours the disobedient, when ordered by David Miscaviage. Rest of the time it's diet mainly consist of Cheetos

@cornbread, hahaha those newborns are such a time suck! Well, if the old timers are seeing this, please pass on my request for where's agent? Her funny comments and snark is missed by this mostly lurker. And b, if you are reading, post more, I like your snark too, though you were wrong on nuclear fallout the other day. And since I'm usually three or four days behind in reading don't listen to the meanies Hollywood dime and whocaresnow12, just give them the bird on keep on being you. Thanks guys.

Do you think he moved to Texas and called himself Thomas because that's the name on his birth certificate? How many people are actually named Tommy?

I'm proud of her for leaving. Kirstie sounds like she is leading the Charlie Manson gang. Instead of worrying about who is leaving the cult, worry about losing weight and keeping it off. She just got sued and lost. Glad to hear it. Glad Leah is out of there.
