When do you start thinking about Christmas?

I've already started shopping. I am due Dec 25 this year with baby #3 so I plan to be done and wrapped no latter than dec 1
People just do not know how to relate or deal with this kind of thing. If you haven't experienced it it is very hard to comprehwnd the impact.
My wishes are that you keep your health and find community in the midst of all this. Much love&light to you and to the region. No one ever knows what to do or how to deal until it happens and I pray that your experience brings a new depth of connection and wisdom. May the rainbows shine amidst the clouds and storms of change.
Are you in Calgary/Alberta? Prayers. Hugs!!
I never think about shopping. I usually don't buy gifts. Too stressful. I just enjoy the time off with my family and get excited about that.
I start thinking about it when they start the commercials 5 months early and it makes me angry.
I'm really sorry Svetlana, that stinks.
I don't think of Xmas as much as I think of what religion I will convert to for a month to get out it.
Thanks for the buying tips Peony!
September! I have to start making lists and a budget or I go WAY overboard at Christmas and New Year's…
For my random acts of kindness, usually around spring after the tax stuff is done. For my family, I refuse to think about it until after Thanksgiving is over.
I never stop. I try and make every Christmas really special. So that means the cards have a theme and need to be clever. Packages and tree need to coordinate. Trips planned. I do very little for all other holidays (only a plug-in pumpkin for Halloween). Christmas makes me happy. One of my friends thinks something must have happened over Christmas in my childhood, because it just means more to me.
All the time. We are looking at a new house and were already discussing where the trees would all go. 🙂
December 26th, and shop and plan all year long. I love Christmas, heck I love all the Fall holidays. I put my trees up Nov 1st; the husband gets all the stuff when he puts away the Halloween decorations.
Christmas is hard for me. It was my mom's favorite, and we lost her last year. I got a tree and decorated my apartment, but unless we move to a bigger place, we won't be doing that this year. Despite space limitations, I couldn't bear to take the tree down until the end of January. All those long stories aside, I usually get into the Christmas spirit after thanksgiving.
Never for at least five years, unless you count the fucking commercials that make me fed up of it from october that year.
December 26th. You get all the best bargains for next year at the after-Christmas sales. If I could, I'd have a Christmas tree up year-round. I also shop throughout the year – it's much more fun to stumble across something you know a friend will love than to have a list of people you have to check off.
Are you in Canmore, Bragg Creek, Calgary, or High River? My sympathies to you, your family, and everyone affected by the devastating floods. I hope that you get the help that you need in this very trying time.
September. But you have me thinking about it now, dammit.
I bought a couple of Christmas gifts this week. I always have a few random gifts in the cupboard for when I forget a birthday or whatever.
I have a lot of nieces and they range from 2 years to 28 years old, so a bit of a wide selection of gifts.
Always THINKING of it, rarely do anything, lol. I buy ahead, and then forget where i put it, lol. Always finding presents in july! Right now i dont want to deal, theres always a fight over who gets us. Id love to just go away and sit on a beach!!!
Two weeks before Christmas. I hate the holidays, so I usually just buy everyone booze, dollar store candles, or I regift .
Svt, where are you? All sympathies and love to you all!!!! Hugs!!!!
*pumping fist* Yeah, baby, I remind everyone else AFTER I get mine approved.
I start buying stocking stuffers in January.
When I decorate for Halloween. Although I do buy gifts throughout the year when I travel.
I never really stop. I shop year round for gifts. If I find something that makes me think of someone in particular or that I know they could use, I'll go ahead and get it. Saves me lots of panic in December.
Kids are their teens, both sets of grandparents passed away. Christmas means looking for a warm place to vacay at with the time off!
Not yet ..
@merlin!!!! Lol work politics that was so funnyI am that coworker
I dont think abt till aft thanksgiving
And my boyfriend's job was completely flooded so he's out of work for the next 3-4 months, so I really really don't want to think about Christmas.
Well, my city and area was recently flooded and my boyfriend's parents and my grandparents both lost their houses. I've been hosting a random couple at my place since they've been displaced, and the whole city is pretty much in shambles. I don't want to think about Christmas…
When the coworker puts in her vacation schedule and I realize I've been screwed over again.
Usually around June..because I'm a sporadic crafter.
Sept or Oct. I think about it, but don't really start buying till Nov.
not yet that's for sure
I'm going to start planning on buying gift soon…little by little.
