Blind Item - Kindness
This B-/C+ list mostly movie actress from a hit franchise gave up her first class seat on an overseas flight and sat in a middle seat in coach so a woman who was 8 months pregnant would not have to sit in the seat. Our actress had started talking to the woman before the flight and discovered the situation and after trying to get the woman a better seat, just gave up her own.
Don't have a clue but whoever it is is a class act.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute sweetheart! Who does that stuff anymore, especially an actor type? If this is revealed I will totally support this woman.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful example of human kindness! A simple act that cost this woman nothing but no doubt meant a great deal to the woman who was the recipient!
ReplyDeleteWhat in the hell was an 8 month preggo lady doing on an overseas flight?! Since I'm ready to deliver any day now, that's the only part of this story that registered with me. Either this woman is highly irresponsible or this is total bs.
ReplyDeleteJen, you see it all the time now, hugely pregnant women on long flights. Mb this woman"had" to get wherever she was going. Nice of this star tho.
DeleteDamn, Jeneral. Way to judge a person. We don't know what was going on here.
ReplyDeleteOne of my worst faults, I'm pretty judgmental. My doc told me no flying in the third trimester. I can't imagine a situation where I would put my baby in jeopardy.
DeleteI was cleared to fly until 36 weeks. Also my best friend was transferred to Japan at 31 weeks because her husband was navy.

DeleteThe hot chick from Transformers, whatshername?
ReplyDeleteRosie from tranformer three, thats really nice.
ReplyDeleteAirlines only care about the waiver. There are any number of reasons anyone HAS to fly, and the way the blind is phrased, when the actress heard about the situation, indicates to me that it was more than a jaunt.
ReplyDeleteClass. I hope she keeps her morals if/when she makes it higher up Enty's list. Someone from GoT maybe? They'd fly a lot too
ReplyDeleteReading comprehension fail for me. I'm only awake in the middle of the night (down under) because I'm feeding the newborn
DeleteAwwwwww, kisses to baby:)
DeleteCheers, auntliddy
DeleteWomen who are 8 months pregnant ARE able to fly. The general rule is up to 36 weeks, which is typically the 9th month. It is usually after the 36 week mark that women are prohibited from flying, unless they've received medical clearance from a doctor.
ReplyDeleteomg Middle Seats are the WORST!
ReplyDeletethis person is a Saint, I have feeling we will know who it is on July 4th
I want to say Ashley Green, but I don't think she's nice enough.
ReplyDeleteLiv Tyler?
Maggie Grace
ReplyDeleteOne of the sparkly vamps from Twihard? If it is, I still won't watch those movies but I will try to distinguish her face from the others so I can think nice thoughts when I see her on gossip sites
ReplyDeleteAnna Kendrick.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking her just cuz she seems awesome enough to do this, but really have no other reason then that.
DeleteI have tried to do the same in public transport (bus) and never got the right answer:
ReplyDelete-Once, the woman was not pregnant, just fat.
-Other times, the women were proud enough that they preferred being standing than taking my seat. What a waste of saliva talking to them!
I always thought your picture was a cashew nut. Now I see it's a chicken, I'm getting very Lynch-ian vibes.
DeleteThis is a truly wonderful gesture from this person. She paid for first class and sat in the middle seat in coach for an overseas flight!
ReplyDeleteI hope this will be revealed, we need more nice celebrity stories.
@ Jeneral
ReplyDeleteYour doctor is a quack. AS previously stated, if the pregnancy is an uncomplicated one, flying is absolutely safe and permitted up to 36 weeks.
anna kendrick?
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellwegger/Bridget Jones. Love her.
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellwegger/Bridget Jones. Love her.
ReplyDeleteYes!!! Me too;)
DeleteWhy nor just unblind the nice celebrities so many are horrible.
ReplyDeleteSorry but the stupid pregnant lady shouldn't have been flying international 8 months pregnant. Another reason women are retarded...
ReplyDeleteVanessa Hudgens.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Bryce Dallas Howard since she knows how uncomfortable it is to be that pregnant.
ReplyDeleteJeez all the hate about the pregnant woman on the flight is sad. Maybe she had a personal emergency with very sick older parent and wanted to be by said parent side. I would do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI had to sit in the middle seat of a 5-seat row from Beijing to Chicago with a 14-month-old on my lap and no other traveling companion. If anyone had done this for me, I would have been beside myself with gratitude!
ReplyDeleteIf you were goofy enough to to do that, just glad I wasn't on your flight.
Deletedoes first class even have three seats? isn't it just two?
ReplyDeleteAshley Greene
ReplyDelete@Single man - your opinions explain your nick.
ReplyDeleteEmma Watson
ReplyDeleteI want to believe this, but I thought after 9/11 you couldn't "switch" seats.
ReplyDeleteI want to believe this, but I thought after 9/11 you couldn't "switch" seats.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, I'm sure a pregnant woman would appreciate the better food but it's a shame she couldn't rinse the free booze.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of an old story: A man was on a crowded bus. A woman boards, there is no place for her to sit. She asks the man if he would mind giving up his seat as she's pregnant. Of course, said the gentleman. He asks her how far along she is. She responds,
ReplyDelete"About half a hour, and I'm exhausted!"
I'm going to guess Elizabeth Reaser (the mom from 'Twilight'). She seems like a nice lady and the rating fits.
ReplyDeleteJeneral, the blind says, the pregnant woman was travelling because of a "situation". Perhaps as in a family emergency? Maybe a death in the family? Whatever it was it was a "situation" not a vacation.
ReplyDeleteWhomever it was, they are a class act.
I'm guessing it has to be someone working overseas who also meets the criteria. Not sure how many people who fit the ranking can routinely afford that class of travel with what an overseas flight in first costs nowadays. My guess is studio $$ are behind the fare and we should look at someone who is working abroad.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very kind thing to do. I hope it was Elizabeth Reaser, she's a great actress! I didn't see Twilight but she played the pregnant "Ava" that Alex Karev fell in love with on Grey's Anatomy. She won an Emmy and a SAG for that role.
ReplyDeleteI don't think a doctor would necessarily jump for joy at an 8 months pregnant woman traveling overseas (just because of precautions) but they're not going to say no. Eight months is 32 weeks, give or take. In a perfectly normal, uncomplicated pregnancy, there would no real reason to object, especially if there were extenuating circumstances.
anna kendrick is just recently back from germany, could easily be her
ReplyDeleteThe only way you can give up a seat to ensure someone else gets it is to board the plane and switch seats or switch boarding passes. I have done it for members of the military, so I know of where I speak.
ReplyDeleteAnna Popplewell (Chronicles of Narnia)
ReplyDeleteEnty, please reveal this!
ReplyDeleteTara Reid? She came across as genuinely nice on BB, and has always been a C really.
ReplyDeleteAlso - flying is now considered safe for pregnant women, even heavily pregnant women and their babies. Just like most exercise. Stop perpetrating old advice which has been replaced by more up to date research.
