Blind Item #1

This Academy Award winner/nominee who gets to be a permanent B lister because of the award but is probably a C lister has lost so much respect for his wife that he openly hits on women in bars and clubs and asks women for their numbers as soon as they show any interest in him at all. I don't understand why she sticks with him. he rarely works anymore and is probably not a joy at anytime.

  1. Nicolas Cage is my guess.

    Cuba Gooding Jr

  3. Cuba would work, but I thought the consensus was that Cuba was gay. If he is, and this blind is about him, wouldn't it say "hits on MEN in bars"?

  4. Why does it say he has LOST respect for his wife? Did she deserve it? Could be a clue maybe?

Naw, probably not that deep. probably Cuba.

  5. Hasn't Cuba been showing some really strange behavior lately? Maybe he's having some sort of mental breakdown or suffering from mental illness.I really wish people wouldn't be so proud to get the help they need.

  6. Although if you look on IMDB, Cuba Gooding has been working plenty. Nicolas Cage has a lot of upcoming projects, but no credits for 2012. Maybe its someone else entirely?

  7. I thought of Cuba too, haven't seen him in much lately.

  8. Nic Cage made a BIG MISTAKE when he married the waitress....he thought she had no idea who he was and that it was love....no not love it was MONEY.

Cuba seems like he could be a douche in real life. I'll guess him too.

  10. Last thing I saw Cuba in that was a theatric release was "Red Tails"

BTW, I kind of know that the man cheats; a Canadian hockey player that I sort of canoodled with knew Cuba'a cousin which led to us all going with Cuba to his VIP party after the premier of Cuba's and Robert DiNiro's movie "Men of Honor." Women were trying to get into our VIP section and Cuba choose the girl he wanted and left with her after he was done partying. I can't say for sure what happen, but I know they left together and she was all over him like a cheap suit.

  11. My husband and I have seen Cuba around Beverly Hills and Century City , and always at places serving alcohol. The worst instance, about a year ago, Cuba was at the Hilton grinding on any girl who didn't seem to be attached. And he was determined to take some body, anybody home. Hangs around bars in the Century City mall quite a bit, too.

  12. I am sure that in real life this could be most any actor. The majority are kind of slutty, unfortunately.

  13. Nic Cage doesn't have any money to go after. Didn't Johnny Depp or someone have to bail him out of his financial trouble?

I'm guessing whoever(or is whomever) this is has also lost the respect of their wife in return.

  14. I wish I was still a Blind Item "innocent," and believed all the blinds did have a real answer. They are still fun to guess at, but so many of these "reveals" are full of crap!!

I apologize if this comes out wrong because I am not meaning to bust on the site or readers as it is not mean spirited. It almost feels like I just realized that meeting my prince charming and living happily ever after dream - is truly just a fairytale...lol :-(

I am friends w/his brother. This is a close knit family. While Rod Tidwell may make some rash decisions, he is well-grounded.

As someone stated earlier, this BI got mixed up w/characters he portrays, not the actual guy. Sorry, don't want to see his character assasinated!

    1. Didn't Pink Palace say something similar yesterday in the James VDB post?

    2. Someone said something almost exactly like this yesterday. I'm on a mobile phone so its a bit of a hassle to go back and check BUT ill be damed if this isn't a copy & paste!

    3. Yes, the reveal about JVB. Same "prince charming" comment. Hmmm.

Almost to the letter, I smell a publicist do JVB and Cuba share a PR firm?

  17. I have a soft spot for Nic Cage. He's weird and has made some real bone head decisions absolutely. But after he lost his shit in New Orleans, why would his wife just now be losing respect for him? Maybe I just don't want it to be him. BTW, the graphic novel he did with his son and the amazing Mike Carey is pretty good IMHO.

  18. Who is Rod Tidwell? And yes, Pink Palace said this yesterday about JVDB. Long time lurker-now commenting!

  19. @Katie, welcome to Whore Island! :b Rod Tidwell was Cuba Gooding Jr's character in Jerry McGuire (the role for which he won an Oscar).

@bobbi, I have loved Nic since Raising Arizona. He broke my heart in Leaving Las Vegas - I actually cried (and I never cry at movies).

      Whore Island. Awesome!

Let's not forget Valley Girl, which is just a genius performance! I very randomly had dinner with him a few years ago. He was odd and yet very compelling at the same time. He was quite nice to everyone and talked to everyone as if they were important. His wife never said a word and didn't make eye contact with anyone.

  22. Well that was dumb on my part! hahaha Hi Izzie!

This is also the second time the person in question has been referred to by their most famous characters name. Wonder who this troll is??

BTW I love these blind items, and my boyfriend loves them too when I read off all your guesses! Clearly, the reveals are the best!

(And yes, i realize that some of them are not real-but so many have turned out to be true so I have some faith!)

  23. Okay so I don't know who the answer is, but I do know Cuba has been cheating on his wife FOR YEARS. When I first got out of college (late 90's) he hit on my friend at a club on Sunset. He was sweaty and smarmy and walked us to our car trying to get my friend to stay. We parked on the street and I had a ticket on my car. I was livid and throwing a fit (I was young) and ruining Cuba's game with my friend. He said he would pay my ticket if I shut up and let him and my friend have a moment. I said sure. They made out outside my car, he took my ticket and left. Needless to say he never paid it. Lol. But this was around 98-99 and it sounds like he hasn't changed based on the other posts today.

  24. I bet this is Cuba because he's still married to his first wife, which would be good if not for the constant cheating rumors. I think everyone wonders why the wife is still with him.

  26. Too bad Cuba's such a tool. I caught him on Graham Norton and he was surprisingly charming. He better be wrapping that rascal or he'll be slapped with a paternity suit. Or three.

  27. Losing respect for the wife made me think Antonio and Mel but I don't think he ever won anything.

  28. I read an article last January...kinda' sad. It was during press for "Red Tails." It was Cuba talking about what happened to his career post-Oscar. He was talking about how he thought "Red Tails" might give his career the boost it needed. Sad because "Red Tails" was just awful.

Then again, he shouldn't be falling that much, IMO. He never should've won that Oscar in the first place. Ed Norton should've won for "Primal Fear."

  29. I know that if my husband cheated, I'd leave. I wouldn't stay with him, losing my self-respect while gaining an STD. And in the words of Eddie Murphy when he was funny; I'd get HALF, muthafuckahhhh!

  30. Probably Cuba .....woulda said Jeremy Irons cause we know what he is like around women, but he is working on a good show.
