Monica & Chandler Reunited

It will be a very special episode of the show "Go On" when it airs in April. Provided of course the show makes it that long. A full season order, but it is limping to the finish line. Anyway, Matthew Perry is the star of the show and in April, Courteney Cox will guest star and her character will go on a date with Matthew Perry's character. It is supposed to be a one off, but who knows, if it clicks, then they should just change the name of the show to Monica And Chandler. You know that show would be a hit. Of course the people over at Happy Days probably thought Joanie Loves Chachi would be a hit too. Oh and there was that whole Joey debacle. Hmmm. Seriously though, a Monica and Chandler show would be popular and if any Friends actors needed work they could show up.

I did not like Monica after she and Chandler got together. She became so annoying. I'd love to see a Pheobe show, that way Paul Rudd could be on it. Has anyone seen that photo where it says Ben (Ross' son) would be 18 this year and Emma is 11. The twins would be 8 or something.

I'm more of a Ross and Rachel fan but hey, I love all things "Friends." My favorite episode was the one where Joey gets the Thanksgiving turkey stuck on his head.

I've tried watching his new show and I just can't get into it.

@Lotta- Emma was born before the twins, the triplets would be older than her.

Yes, I know way too much.

I think I was the only person in the world that liked Joanie Loves Chachi. LOL. I was like 8.

I was watching Friends reruns the other night and it's still damn funny. Roseanne too. I digress.

Oh ok! I was totally confusing the triplets with the twins. Lot of multiple births on that show!

I love Friends. That was such a great sitcom. I would've liked to see Monica and Joey together. I think they'd be a fun couple!

I rememeber with his other 10 failed shows he said he wouldn't bring on any Friends co-stars as a stunt. Guess he said screw it with this one.

I would watch another Friends spin-off! I even watched Joey.

Joey is probably my favorite. Chandler and Monica were SO grating once they got together. And Ross is such a whiny bitch. I do watch reruns late at night, just for memories' sake. But, yeah could Monica and Chandler BE more annoying as a couple. I always liked Monica with Tom Selleck and Chandler with Janice.

I LOVE "Go On". It gets better every week. I do think John Cho should have more lines. The bits he did were hilarious.

I love Go On too. There are some real laugh out loud funny moments on that show.

I think "Go On" will get picked up. It dropped off without "The Voice," but it still does better than other NBC comedies.

Love Friends, and I felt it got better every season and was sad when it ended. Would totally have watched a Monica & Chandler spinoff. Oh wait, we're talking about Perry's crappy new show. Never mind.

Go On is terrific and does make me laugh out loud at times, which is rare for me.

I love "Go On" also! Hopefully when they can show more than a few shows without a long break, it will gain viewers.

Friends, the early years, is back now in the Nick rotation. I liked all the characters but they were nothing without each other. The ensemble worked well. I tried to watch the first couple of episodes of Go On, but I thought it was awful. It's sad what passes for comedy these days. Oh ya, Monica and Richard had awesome chemistry and I always wondered if it carried over off the set?

I also LOVE Go On! It's so funny, and I like all of the characters. I agree, John Cho should have more to do--every time he's on camera it's great.

I didn't much like Ross/Rachel on Friends, I liked the Monica/Chandler relationship, and their proposal is still one of my favorite TV proposals.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this episode.

I really enjoyed the first episode; I thought it was literally LOL-funny. I haven't been able to catch any more episodes because I have class on those nights, but maybe I'll check it out this summer.

I LURVE Matthew Perry and I've had a crush on him since he was Sandy on "Growing Pains." He can just do no wrong in my eyes. :-)

I think I'm the only one who didn't like Friends. I saw one episode, and it did nothing for me, I found it self-indulgent. I wasn't in the demographic tho, it seemed young to me.

I watched Joey, too. :-/ I've been fairly supportive of all the cast members TV/movie ventures. I even own Fools Rush In. :-)

Someone pinned "Friends: Phoebe's Best Bloopers" (or something like that) on Pinterest a few weeks ago and I got sucked into (too) many minutes of watching Friends bloopers.

I like Go On MUCH better than Mr. Sunshine (but not as much as Studio 60). I'm not sure a Courtney appearance will save the show if the ratings are bad, though?

I *LOVED* Friends, except for the first and last seasons.

@ greenmountaingal - they once showed a fantasy segment with Monica and Joey together. Monica calls to Joey that dinner is ready and Joey comes out of the bedroom in Monica's apartment in a fat suit and sits down at her table that is covered in dishes filled with food. "I made your favorite. Fried stuff" (or something like that). He spears a piece of food on a fork and says to it, "How YOU doin'?"

Friends had some really, really good writers on that show who knew the characters so well. Like the episode in which Chandler and Rachel ate a cheesecake that was really delivered for neighbor. Last scene, they are in the apartment building hallway, eating the cheesecake that fell on the floor and Joey walks up. Anyone else would have been appalled to discover someone they knew eating cheesecake off a common, dirty hallway carpet but Joey sits down and pulls a fork out of his breast pocket and says with interest, "So whadda we got here?"

Another good episode was when Ross was dating the girl (Rebecca Romijn) with the filthy apartment. Hilarious episode and at the end, someone knocks at her door and it's neatnik Monica, cleaning supplies in hand. "Ross told me about you and I can't stop thinking about your apartment." Door gets slammed in her face. Camera fades on Monica cleaning her door jamb.

Sorry, it's probably my favorite sitcom, next to TBBT.

I would be all over a show about Chandler and Monica, with the rest of the gang making appearances. I miss them.

RocketQueen said...

Mango...totally agree and I loved that cheesecake episode. Those characters were really well developed by the time the show ended.

I couldn't stand Monica and Chandler towards the end so I'm really not looking forward to this. Not to mention Ms Cox's love of cosmetic surgery is starting to make her look scary.

Go On is surprisingly good but Anne's the breakout character and Ryan and Carrie needs to happen at some point.

@Lelaina, I Love Fools Rush In!!!

Perry REFUSED to do Cougar Town b/c he said he wanted nothing to do with a role reminding him of Chandler & Monica. I guess Cox is a better "FRIEND" than him. I loved him as Chandler, but IMO, Perry's an A-Hole & a one-trick-pony.

I love Friends.

I still watch it and think about how I'd love to have Rachel's wardrobe (not so much the first couple of seasons) because her characters stylist obviously knew what they were doing. Wouldn't mind having her body either :)
