Chris Dorner Death Photos For Sale

Just when you thought that the whole Christopher Dorner story was put of the news except for the remembrance of the victims he injured and killed and the inevitable television movie, now comes news that photos of Dorner's dead body are for sale. I think it is pretty sick, but I guess it too was inevitable. Not like a Lindsay Lohan shoplifting spree, but inevitable in the sense that someone loves making a buck no matter what the subject. I guess I can see The Enquirer or Globe purchasing them. I don't think any of the tabloids would. Who wants to see a charred body. Who is the kind of person who gets to this scene and says to themselves they need to take photos so they can make some money. Probably the same person who probably took something off the guy and 50 years later will end up on an edition of Pawn Stars with Chumlee's kid. Yeah, someone will probably want to breed with him. He is on television.

I hope this isn't a cop selling these pictures. This whole deal is shady on the cops as it stands. I hate this cause I'm a cop and it pisses me off when shade gets thrown on us all.

Hmmm...if he burned in the fire, there probably isn't much of him left.

Geebz said...

Didn't he mention that cops exchanged photos of crime scenes and made fun of the average joe's/jane's demise? All that he claimed the LAPD did/does burned up with him, eh?

I would put in that people who have to deal with horrific situations routinely (cops, paramedics, etc) sometimes use humor among themselves that would disgust the rest of us - it's more of a coping mechanism than anything. As long as they do a good job otherwise and keep the "humor" to themselves, I'm not going to judge them.

Unknown said...

@geebz: I think people (Dorner included) make too much of joking in those situations. Obviously the utmost decorum should be show when witnesses and victims families are involved, but the rest is typically a coping mechanism. I don't know any police officers personally but I know a lot of soldiers and they'll joke about things like that to one another but get them alone and they're absolutely destroyed by what they have to deal with every day. It's just what they have to do to make it through seeing their fifth murdered person that year without losing their minds.

Erin B said...

I understand what you guys are saying about coping, but it doesn't always stay in their group. I remember a story a couple years ago from Dateline or something where a teenager was killed in a horrific crash, & the officer there texted a photo with a funny caption, & it made its way to the teenager's father. That should never happen. Find another way to cope!

This whole situation screams 'shady as FUCK'. But nothing will come to light because the "savage" killed people. Don't get me wrong RIP to the victims, but still, somethin aint right with how this ended...

LottaColada said...

This guy was probably right about the things he said about the LAPD's corruption. He just went to incredibly stupid lengths to prove his case and that's why he lost all credibility. The way some people are hailing him as some sort of a hero is sickening. Even more sickening is the fact that these photos exist.

Unknown said...

@erin b: there will always be that one douchey guy that does something like that. Hopefully that individual was harshly reprimanded if not let go. Photos of sick, injured or dead are not ok to send to the general public but it will happen occasionally.

Maximus said...

Didn't TMZ say he was partially dismembered? How the hell did that happen if not police involvement? This whole situation is crazy.

Primadiva said...

@Maximus, yes TMZ said that...how does a fire dismember someone? and he was decapitated too? this whole thing is fishy, it's horrible he had to kill people to make his point, but if anyting, the LAPD will use him as an example to keep your mouth shut.

Cops do have a strange sense of humor, sometimes morbid. Actually, most 1st Responders have that..even our soldiers overseas but you need to illustrate diplomacy and discretion.

SusanB said...

Um, to be kind of gross, but if there's enough damage to the body from the fire, some extremities can literally "fall off" the main trunk. Of course, I don't know how burned the body is.

As far as Dorner dying in the fire, I really don't care. At least the taxpayers won't have to pay the cost of years and years of trials, appeals, etc, not to mention the cost of housing him. There's no doubt that he killed in cold blood. I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for him. Whether his initial claims of discrimination are true or not, it's irrelevant now. He obviously was primed to snap - would it have been better if he had snapped while working as a police officer?

Damn,I missed that.It is funny.

Where's Obama in all of this? There should be a FEDERAL inquiry into all of this.
All around sad.

@geebz, not just that, he said they saw corpses as waterskiis etc because of all the OT hours they get from covering it.

And most of the people "supporting" dorner were just hoping he would be brought in alive and just sympathize with police corruption, not with the actual murders he was committing. I was glued to the comp that night. Everyone knew the cops would murder him first chance they got, that's why people were rooting for him. Especially considering police shot three civilians that weren't even the same race or in the same color vehicle as the suspect and the shadiness about asking reporters to stop tweeting even tho that cabin had no tv, Internet, etc. and all the audio of the cops calling to burn him. No one even knew if it was for sure him in the cabin or if he had hostages they just wanted him dead. He definitely went abt this the wrong way for sure but he still was never convicted.

Sunny said...

Have they established if Dorner suffered from some sort of PTSD or mental illness? If he really wanted to expose the corruption of the LAPD and go down as a soldier, why didn't he kill the corrupt cops instead of innocent civilians? (I don't endorse murder OBVIOUSLY, but you can be more sympathetic in particular cases such as a parent going after their child's murderer, for example)

He didn't really plan this out.Whiteboys stay on the run for years because they plan and strategize.

ATL Child Murderer

There aren't too many brothers doing the serial killing,we don't get the accolades like the whiteboys get (song tributes,books,movies,t-shirts).That shit requires patience and planning...damn near a third job.

Sunny- dorner didn't kill any civilians other than the daughter of the Cop who got him kicked off the force and her boyfriend who was a police cadet.

My questions. He kidnapped women and didn't harm them, where is there statement? Two wallets were found, one on the Mexico border and the one that miraculously survived a fire, what was it made out of? He was in the house for almost an hour before the fire (I watched live news coverage the entire time and switched between networks to make sure I got multiple views) if he had guns, that also survived the fire unscathed, why didn't he try to kill more cops? That was his goal. So why only the one before he was trapped in the cabin? Also they had an FAA no fly zone over that area for 15-30 minutes of the ordeal. Why? They said they didn't want him to see the news coverage. He had no power in the cabin, no cell phone, how the hell would he have seen the news? Then we go back to the helicopter and the whole building is engulfed in flames. They said it was caused by a smoke bomb AND they called down the fire department from stopping the fire.

These are just things I find odd. I have no say in anything. This is just an opinion ( like my asshole, everyone has one) ;)

He died a coward.

I have an opinion too, but I'm scared I'm going to wind up on some watchlist. Ha ha. After reading his manifesto, I think he was a good guy who had a psychotic break. I have no idea if it was a brain injury (he played football in high school), PTSD from serving in the military or maybe even the stress of LAPD having it out for him for being a whistleblower, but I think he just snapped and didn't think his actions through. The cops shooting the innocent people in the truck, and the police scanner picking up the sound of a cop yelling "burn it down" stinks to high heaven to me.

Again, the reason I can't empathize with him at all was because he killed the chief's (I think it was the chief's) daughter so that , according to his manifesto, the living survivors would have to explain to their spouses and children why those folks died in cold blood. Frankly I think if he had taken out officers and administration who willingly abused and set up innocent people that he would be looked at as some type of Dexter folk hero to many.

(It was the rambling of the manifesto that makes me think he had a break. Being specific so journalists could investigate the "blue line" is one thing, but complimenting Michelle Obama's bangs and Charlie Sheen for being "awesome" tell me there was a mental health issue at play here.

JUST MY OPINION! DON'T ARREST ME!

Sunny said...

Clarification: that line about Michelle's bangs/Charlie Sheen was not meant to be funny

Likely the FAA had a no fly zone so that the sky's weren't full of a ton of news helicopters getting in the way, making communication difficult and potentially causing problems. This man had said he wanted to take as many people out as he could so it would stand to reason that he had planned better and had either rigged the cabin to explode or would just start shooting anything that got near (turns out he was a pretty terrible planner). While the police didn't handle it in the best possible way, you have to consider that the vast majority of patrol officers haven't been in situations any worse than a tense traffic stop or a particularly mouthy drunk, so when you realize that they have been sent out after being told "there is a target on your back, a lunatic is out there and wants YOU dead" you're bound to get some jumpy ones. It's unfortunate but true. Also, it's probable they did burn the cabin on purpose, but again, in light of the situation, Dorner was t coming out alive, he planned to kill as many people as he could. So they could either lay siege to the place and wait for him to come out shooting and rob more families of their husbands/wives/parents, or they could light him up. He wanted to be a martyr and he got it and killed innocent people along the way (the chief's daughter was NOT a corrupt LAPD officer, the park ranger was NOT a corrupt LAPD officer)

There was media all over that place. Who didn't see that annoying headline about a reporter caught in the crossfire between Dorner and the LAPD? You know damn well there were all kinds of "photographers" and "reporters" who flocked to the site, getting in the way of law enforcement. I am sure there are more than a few photos being shopped around.

smash said...

He didn't kill the park ranger either! Where the fuck did you hear those things? He killed a state trooper I believe and wounded one other before getting in the cabin. You are saying he wanted to "lay siege" why didn't he do that in the hour he was in the house? It just doesn't add up. And I will say again. THEY Found his drivers liscense TWICE!!! Once in the Mexico boarder after his failed attempt at stealing a boat. And once in the cabin that was burned to the mother Fing ground!!!

I am sure my crazy self is already on a no fly list. Thank you sunny for the back and forth. His manifesto reads as if mutiple people wrote it OR he wrote it and other things were added. He got fired for saying the cops were corrupt and would beat people for NO reason. They tamper with evidence, he is dead who is there to prove if they did or didn't?

smash said...

I never heard the "reporter caught in the crossfire".
I watched from the moment the said he was "pinned down". There was NO traffic on the ground anywhere near the cabin. They had closed off roads in a 20 mile radius and set up check points in case he was "hidden" in someone's car.

smash said...

They* as in every media outlet. I would switch channels and see who's facts were getting screwed up.

Things said that night- he kidnapped two women, one got away after he stole their car and called 911. A park ranger saw his car with a high caliber rifle in the seat and tried to stop him. At that time Dorner took off on foot. He never shot at the park ranger. Park ranger called 911. He is said to be "pinned down" for 30 minutes helicopters fly around and show the entire area up to 10 miles away with NO ground traffic other than cop cars and some serious weapon protected vehicles, what was the point of those if they were just going to "Burn it". No fly zone is put in place. 15-30 minutes go by. We come back to a cabin on fire with popping bullets from the flames. These are just the FACTs I saw on the NEWs that nights, as it was happening.

smash said...

The lady called 911 who got away, sorry.

NaughtyNurse said...

Yeah. It was there. I actually didn't bother to read the article about the reporter "caught in the crossfire" out of principle, because I knew this was some A-hole just interjecting himself into a place where he shouldn't be, trying to glorify a horrible situation, desperately trying to pawn himself off as a hero.

Unknown said...

@smash, I said the police would have to lay siege to the cabin, Dorner would not, as he was inside.

Unknown said...

@smash, I did misread, it was a Sherrifs deputy he murdered in the park, however, fact remains, none of the people he murdered were members of the LAPD. Not one.

Agent**It said...

Smash, yes, I agree that they tamper with evidence and they are corrupt. Which is why I wish he had chosen a non violent manner to publicize his termination. I do think he had a psychotic break. Very sad.

smash said...

They didn't though. He shot the two police officers before getting trapped in the cabin. Then they did a perimeter check to make sure he was "running in the woods". They even closed down schools in the area, a school more than 20 miles away.

Unknown said...

@smash: you are clearly very emotional about is subject as you're not reading clearly. I stated that he "robbed families of their husbands/wives, etc" as in he murdered them, which he did. I didn't say he stole physical objects, he stole lives, he murdered people

smash said...

I sort of think sunny is on the right track with the mental "snap". The misinformation during, before and after are what get me going. :) nothing personal empress.

@smash for God's sake now you're just trolling, their marital status doesn't make it any more alright that he murdered people that had nothing to do with his perceived slight (and yes, I know one was the chief's daughter but I bet she didn't make staffing decisions)

smash said...

The actual police force kept doing press conferences saying this is something you don't expect but it is something you train for. The police did their job as in the actions but in the premise of justice, it was not served. I think burning down the cabin was the biggest mistake on their behalf. Chris Dorner was a sick man. If the cops killed everyone who was a sick killer we wouldn't have as many people in prison that's for sure.

Sorry if I miss read you. :) I guess I do get a little worked up. But as I said, nothing personal.

smash said...

If you want to call me a troll. Then you are getting personal.

How was it not served? A coldblooded, clearly insane murderer was unable to murder anyone else. He started this, he fully intended to die as a result, he did.

smash said...

Agent- agreed.

One detail for clarity " Thursday, Feb. 7, 2:18 a.m.: A shuttle bus driver turns in a wallet with an LAPD badge and a picture ID of Dorner to San Diego police. " At the cabin, it was his driving license that was found. This is a reference source of the timeline:

If this is true, it means part of Dorner's manifesto was accurate, but I already knew that, having known cops and EMT's. They like to pose and take photos dead bodies so they can share them for the laughs.

BTW, not a Dorner fan. He was willing to kill innocent people to make a point, which pretty much invalidated everything he claimed he was about.

Smash/Agent - when people do try a non violent manner it can take literally years and years, like up to 5. During that time he would be living in a state of C-PTSD. There would be unending gas lighting, mobbing and who knows what else. It's difficult for people to survive through this. Often they settle quickly once their issues are addressed so the wrongs never see the light of day. Their health deteriorates, physical and mental. Blood pressure issues, weight gain due to stress, it's all just so sad.

It would be great for all the corruption to end but lots and lots of people need to come together to stop it. One person against an entire office rarely succeeds to the extent the corruption stops. This will all change when more people become outraged and act.
