Michael Winner Has Died

Michael Winner, the brash British director known for violent action movies starring Charles Bronson including “The Mechanic” and the first three “Death Wish” films, died on Monday at his home in London. He was 77.

@ Anna Nonymous - I think that's a young Michael Winner with Charles Bronson in that photo but OMG can you imagine a movie with a comical Gene Wilder and a pissed off Charles Bronson? I'd pay to see that!

@ All about Eve - My father loved his movies too. They were "of an age".

I've never seen his movies but as a hardcore foodie I LOVED his restaurant reviews, 'Winner's Dinners' in the Sunday Times. He was so full of himself but he made me laugh. Boy, could that man eat :)
