… and then i showed everyone else in the newsroom and they laughed too. Journo's like to see our peers mess up, schaudenfraud!!
As a reporter/anchor I can tell you sometimes you go in to auto pilot and then half way through you are like wtf am I saying… the way he trailed off makes me think it was one of those moments. I totally laughed.
Astrid Braunschmidt and I have an ex-boyfriend in common. True story. I'm from Victoria, originally.
Lmfao comma chaser!!!! I was soooo sad when Joel announced that Greg was leaving GDNY. The goodbye reel was hilarious
Lol here's a tip next time u want to try out a "new" word live on air how bout u find out the meaning first hmmm? Either a mistake or like goheels said, he got caught out and played dumb lol
That old lady was so cute.
@goheels, I think he did. He wouldn't have said what he said, otherwise!
Scary looking guy, I wouldn't trust him. At all.
this is my local anchor dude. he realllllly sucks.
and yes, RAPEY eyes.
Omg I could not stop cringing the whole time! How mortifying!! I LOVE how the weather woman was just like "what? NO… We will not be doing that AT ALL" LOL! I feel like if this happened in the US the weather girl would have just went with it lol!
Susan B, looks like we may get lucky and miss Isaac. Yes, they should just shut up, if one more of them brings up Andrew from 20 years ago I'm going to scream .
I've always known what canoodling means. But I get really tired of cutsey local newscasters – just give me the damn news and weather! I couldn't care less about your personal opinions, etc.
I use that word all the time. i'm only 41, but I love slang, especially outdated slang.
I think that guy that shot the news clip was different from the news anchor. They usually have different people go out and shoot the stories.
The anchorman has rapey eyes.
^ "Science" –Greg Kelly.
Unless you've read the Enquirer, why would you know what canoodling means? My guess re his Union Bay comment was about how the woman was saying whatever was going on brought people together. My stronger guess is the anchor didn't give a shit and was just saying words. That's probably what it was.
Canadians are hardcore
Astrid's holding out for the national anchor, and this local dude didn't get the memo, that's all.
But didn't he say earlier "well then Union Bay is appropriately named?" I think he was called out and played dumb…
That is kind of funny. My younger brother is an evening news anchor and he LOL. I guess I was never exactly sure what "canoodle" meant either. I had to look it up. I had the right idea tho.
