Randy Blythe Arrested For Manslaughter
Lamb Of God singer Randy Blythe was arrested this week in Czechoslovakia and charged with manslaughter because of the death of a fan at a concert in 2010. At that concert, a fan rushed the stage. He was ejected and died of head injuries from that ejection. So, when Lamb Of God entered Prague again for this first time since the incident, Randy Blythe was arrested and charged with something that approaches the charge of manslaughter. For some crazy reason, the publicist for Lamb Of God admitted this week that Randy was the person who pushed the fan into the crowd from the stage.

It is impossible for someone to be arrested in Czechoslovakia. The country has not existed in 19 years.

@Prada, my husband and I seen Lamb of God at Mayhem Fest in OKC back in Aug 2010. Not the actual accident. Sorry. I should have been more clear.

Sad thing, I'm not very sure on how the justice system in the Czech rep works, its probably really corrupt and I'm suprised theyve held on to a manslaughter case for this long, maybe the kid had powerful parents. If that is the case, Randys future is not looking very bright. Anyone can find random documentarys on how life is like in old USSR prisons, and that shit aint pretty! I know that the Czech republic isnt Russia but close enough..

Great band. I've seen them quite a few times and actually met them at a little record store in North Jersey. Super nice guys. Especially Randy. Sucks for him.

The dissolution of Czechoslovakia took effect on 1 January 1993.
Again...no accountability for the actions leading up to getting tossed off the stage. Sigh.
The person who died had rushed the stage twice already that evening and security told him to stop it and had ejected him from the stage already. The third time, the guy bypassed security and was coming right at Blythe who ejected him.
This is all according to the other members of the band, security team, and witness reports. It's sad that a person died at a concert, but he has to bear some responsibility for his own death.
JMO but you are stepping over the line when you make the decision to trespass onto a stage. And yes, I think it is trespassing, especially after the Dimebag Darrell incident. The guy didn't deserve to die, but he should have stayed in the damn audience like everyone else. The punk rock days are over, there are too many crazy ass people out there to allow stage trespassers.
Bouncers are often too heavy-handed [1]. The use of violence, or the threat of it, is hard to condone. Having more numbers and dealing with things peacefully but assertively is better than shoving people back with mere force.
I know USians have much stronger ideas around trespass than is often the case in the rest of the world. There may be a culture clash aspect to this too.

Wow, MiVidaCoca, just Wow! How can you be so ignorant and make statements like this. Czech Republic is independent state for more than 20 years and you judge their legal system by some documentary about USSR prisons? Czech Republic has never even been the Soviet Republic to begin with. And now it is the country of European Union and their laws are preserving all human rights like every other European country's law. Like the right for a fair trial? Did you ever heard of it? Google it before making statements like this. You better base your opinion on wikipedia than old documentaries

MiVidaCoca: those are some mighty ignorant statements there. From my friends and visits there, I think the US is more or just as corrupt.
The publicist copped to it because it happened in front of a lot of people.
Guy cleared barricades twice, security pushed him back over. (This was a show that didn't allow stage diving...barricades in front of the stage to clearly prohibit people from reaching the band.)
Third time, he makes it, and comes in contact with Blythe, who basically threw him off stage. Now, theoretically, the crowd would catch him. Stage-dive style. Apparently this crowd had enough of the douchenozzle and that was that, kablam, concrete floor.
This is nothing resembling manslaughter. Not even wrongful death. This is self-defense at worst, an accident at best.
