Alec Baldwin Gets Married
After just three months engaged and two photographers beaten, Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas got married yesterday. The wedding was not much of a shock to anyone. What was a shock was that Alec managed to restrain himself from beating anyone for almost 24 hours prior to the ceremony. I'm sure that Hilaria can look forward to years of quiet bliss with a calm Alec Baldwin. If this lasts a year, I will be shocked. Can you imagine living with Alec 24/7. Yeah, no one is that strong.

No, i cant. But mb she foesnt take any of his shit. Ir tge sex is worth it. Who the hell knows? I wld be interested if his father, whom i know is deceasesd, was abusive to his mom. Has to come from somewhere.

I finally got curious enough abt this union to google. Their wedding announcement is in the NYT and tells the story of how they met. His pick up line was, "I must know you." ;)
@Renoblondee -no, he saw her at a restaurant. She owns/runs a couple of yoga studios in NYC and is very dedicated.
Well he sure is looking good these days if nothing else has gotten better about him! I think the excess working out and weight loss has got him all riled up lately, thus the recent violence.
Man, back in the day he was smoking hot (IMO, anyway). I like him slimmer for sure.
Hmmm, but the yoga should be calming him down...

What is she thinking? He has major anger and control issues AND he's too OLD for her. He looks like her father. Here's a recent pic of Alec, where it looks like he's gained back some of the weight he's lost. He looks like her dad!! Close-ups of his skin, shoe the guy looks every bit his age.

They were married in a Catholic Church. I didn't know Alec was so religious.

Alec's the kind of actor I would normally like - he was smoking hot when he was younger and he's (IMO) a talented actor. Plus he's a raging liberal New Yorker. I love him on 30 Rock.

@Me: Alec's first marriage to Kim was not a RC ceremony, so in the eyes of the church, this counts as a first marriage.
I like Alec as an actor but there's no way I would marry his violent, angry ass.
@detown359: Has Alec ever been violent with women? I've seen the photos of him pushing the papps around. I have to say, I would do the same in his position. Who wants some ass sticking a camera in your face as you go about your life? Making a living by photographing you when you don't look your best?

I think she's pregnant already. In several interviews, and in his podcast I heard him ask his guests what it's like to be a dad at an older age.
@me Alec was indeed married before, but not in the Catholic Church. So as far as the Church is concerned, this is his first marriage.
Alec is extremely wealthy and a very well respected actor. Yes, he's a hothead. But he is also very charming and can be hilarious when in a good mood. He's a darling of the NY social scene and very well connected.She did alright for herself. Oh, and she's a knockout!!
I love Alec Baldwin, the actor, but I could never deal with a temper like that. Not for all the $$ in the world.
If he would direct such vitriol at his own daughter (I know that infamous voicemail was a long time ago, but it just goes to show what an anger problem he has), I'd have to assume he wouldn't think twice but to do the same to his wife.
@Jaime. I wouldn't want the paps in my face either. But looking back on how he went off on that voicemail at his daughter makes me believe that not only can he be verbally abusive towards his loved ones but wonder if the verbal insults can turn violent. It should be a red flag for any woman going into a relationship with a man that would say the things he said to his own flesh. He may have gotten physical with Bassinger. Maybe that's why she fought dirty so many years to keep him away from their daughter. With his behavior towards his kid and the paps, I wouldn't be with the likes of him. He's a great actor and his acting skills may allow him to hide his true violent self. Some things aren't worth the money and fame at least not in my book.

Alec...love him on "30 Rock." Despite the long history of anger, I don't know what he's like at home with her. Maybe they're truly happy. Who knows? I'm off to buy some Clamato...
They seem like a strange match. The yoga instructors I know are pretty mellow.
Sexing regularly on a hot piece like Hilaria should mellow him the fuck out. I know it would work for me.
@detown359: Read your comment. The only evidence you are presenting is that Alec went a bit ballistic on a voice mail to his kid. This is known. It's known because it was leaked to TMZ. I'll take a wild guess that Alec was not the leaker.
Everything else in your comment is baseless - if he left a voicemail, then he "could" have turned violent and he "may" have gotten physical with Bassinger. Run with it, why stop there? He might also have turned into a serial killer.
Show me a parent who hasn't gone a bit vocally ballistic on their kid. Especially a father who fought very hard to have access to his daughter and was fought tooth & nail by Kim. Everyone seems to forget that Kim was a shut-in with serious mental health issues.
And also that she is the most likely person to have released the infamous voice mail. That's not a nice thing to do to your daughter, to have the whole world hear her dad calling her a pig.

I don't want to start a war here. I'm too scared! But if you agree that the papps should not be in his face, then the only complaint you have against him is the voicemail he left for his daughter.
It wasn't pleasant by any means. I am not suggesting AB is a model of good manners. You yourself acknowledge that Kim fought dirty, but Alec fought very hard to have equal rights to be a parent to his daughter.
I'm a strong believer in fathers' rights and this colors my comments.
AB is so attractive now compared to when he was younger. But my crush on Jack Donaghy may have something to do with that. And my only image of AB when he was younger was as the creepy Scout leader on SNL.
I hope he's good to her because she has certainly been a good influence on him, health wise.
Alex has consistently shown that he has anger management issues towards the press, his daughter and his ex-wife. While it wasn't right that Kim (probably) released the tape, she might have done so to embarrass the hell out of Alec into addressing his anger issues.
Other stars get papped, but they're able to handle the situation with some control. I have no doubt Alec's anger is just one of many reasons Kim tried to protect her daughter from her father. I don't doubt for a second that it's impossible to have a calm, sit down conversation with this man. He's a control freak.
He looks good now, since he's lost some weight. He looked awful in Rock of Ages.
Well, good luck with that, Hilaria. I mean that pretty sincerely. For me. I do think Kim and Alec were toxic for each other and doomed from the get-go. I could see him doing...all right, long term, in a relationship with the EXACT right person. I'd like to think she's that person, though I'm not exactly super hopeful about it.
Wonder how long until she's pregnant. Maybe a nice set of twins...?
