Kimora Lee Simmons & Djimon Hounsou Split
Kimora Lee Simmons spends money like it comes out of a faucet. Of course it is Russell Simmons' money so it is not her faucet and doesn't have to worry about that water bill running out. Or does she? The NY Daily News says that Russell has cut off Kimora which is causing her to sell her home and also has caused massive fights with Djimon Hounsou and that the couple have split. They have been together for a long time. I know there will be a whole lot of people happy to have a chance at Djimon now. I think Kimora will try and get back with Russell. Kimora and Djimon have one three year old son together.

Dont quite understand the attraction of this man and doesnt Kimora have her own money?
Honsou is a talented actor with a great accent. He's not my type per se, but I understand the attraction. He's pretty easy on the eyes.
Kimora's money may be tied up in some of Russell's investments and companies. She probably gets an allowance, with her side ventures supplementing that.
If Russell is have money problems or if a new woman in his life is telling him to cut off Kimora, then I can see where this is becoming a problem. Djimon is talented, but the role he would get are probably going to Idris Elba now.
I saw a commercial the other day where KLS was pushing a prepay credit card with her name but from Russie's line of prepaid credit cards.
I thought that was odd. For a number of reasons.
Russell's prepay cards is what I was thinking about. I've heard they're waste of time and money. If she's still working with Russell in some capacity, it's like a way to make money. If those cards finally get shut down, Russell and KLS may be feeling the pinch.
He used to be hot, but now, meh.
Darnit. I liked these two together and their little boy was a doll. I imagine she'd be hard to take after a while. He was quiet and camera shy on her show.
To own a company of PrePaid cards is a huge red flag for money laundering.
She lives a very lavish lifestyle--and I always thought they were kind of an odd fit--he seems very normal and down to earth.
Their little boy is really beautiful tho--they make pretty babies together.
Russell has gone all zen and meditative, I don't think he would go back with her. He'd probably contribute financially because of their girls but I don't see them as a couple. Kimora is also doing some things other than her reality show on the Style Network --makeovers and some short fashion pieces.
How can anyone stand to be with this woman? If her personality is anything like it was portrayed on her reality show, Djimon got lucky here.
I like Kimora, but she has always come off to me like a person who never would have made it big if it were not for someone else with more money, smarts and talent backing it up.
I think she has a over-inflated sense of her own abilities and now that the Baby Phat money has flattened and Russell is pulling the plug and can't get her clients anymore, her real business acumen/value is showing (not much)
I also like Dijimon, but he hasn't worked in a long while that I can see.
You can only live the big ballin lifestyle as a proxy for so long.
From the few desperate times I've subjected myself to her show on E or Style, Kimora seems like she is crazy and just an awful person to be around.
Russell Simmons' credit card ad totally trips me out. When I first saw it, I thought it was a joke. I get such a scam vibe from it all.
This story just proves that money does not buy happiness. Because no matter how much money this trick has, she will never be happy.
It appears that Kimora's realty tv show made it appear as though she was the one bringing home the bacon. As it turns out, she was being fronted by her ex. I think the clothing line did make some money, but can't think it's doing much now, it's so 90's. Who wants a over bedazzled handbag with BABY PHAT in large letter dangling from the front? Plus the world had Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez lines for that now.
What's up with Kimora not handling her finances correctly? I thought she was a good business woman? Oh well and I love me some Djimon!

I swear I read somewhere that in her wedding vows she said "for richer or richer". I could be making that up, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true.
I love Kimora and like her show. But i do understand how people can be turned off by her. That husband of hers is fine as hell! Or rather soon to be ex husband.

Djimon dropped to the bottom of my list when he started dating her. He has so much talent, but apparently no brain, because you'd have to be brain-dead to spend much time with her.
@ Katie- yeah, I think this is old news. Kola has been saying that she's been messing with him. Also, this split was a long time in the making. Like no surprise here.
I find her disgusting! I don't anything to like about this woman. In all her interviews, she comes off as entitled and ghetto.
