It's Time For That Casey Anthony Book

Back when Casey Anthony was found not guilty of killing her daughter, it was assumed she would be able to cash in right away and profit off the death of her girl. Happily, for once, everyone backed off and no money changed hands and no one wanted to be known as the company that gave a murderer money. That is slowly changing though and multiple outlets are reporting that Casey is in the process of converting her journal into a book and shopping it around. I don't know if there will be any takers though. Unless she confesses in it, everyone is going to know it is full of crap. What can she say about anything that we don't know? I would much rather, if she is going to get paid, to have Mike Wallace come back from death and have her sit down in front of him and have him ask her questions for three hours and then edit it so she looks like the monster she is.

What could her journal possibly say?

"Dear Diary,

My daughter is so fucking annoying! Why can't she make her own food?! All she does is whine about everything! What about me??!!!! Tonight's the big Jello shot contest at the bar and I can't go because somebody has a stomachache."

OMFG. That is perfect.

I thought the only reason she didn't immediately profit after the verdict was because the $$ would have to go to anyone filing a lawsuit. In waiting for enough time to pass, she could file bankruptcy, not pay the lawsuits and then pocket the $$ earned from these deals?

I still can't believe there are people out there that believe she killed her by accidentally giving her too much Xanax so she could party. If that were true, you'd see remorse for losing her daughter. She's never shown an inkling of remorse or grief over her daughter, only for herself. No one makes my blood boil more than this POS.

At least we don't hear about her parents and brother anymore. The parents cleaning the car/clothing destroyed what evidence there was to be found - and they knew it.

I will personally offer to coordinate her book tour stop in Aruba.

Dear Oprah

I know that you need ratings. I'm sorry that you felt you had to slum with the K clan to get some ratings. But please, oh please, leave this fucktard alone. Even if she gets her book out there, leave her alone. You can do it, O.

It's time we stop acknowledging Casey Anthony's existence.

I would rate this book right alongside Rielle Hunter's book. Won't buy either. Won't buy a magazine that publishes excerpts from it. If it's on TV, will write sponsers and tell them I'm boycotting their products - and I WILL boycott their products. The only thing these people understand is money.

@SusanB - right with you !

This bitch is why I started studying. I can now say I totally understand.

Are we having an Austin meetup? I promise not to talk about IT unless asked!

Hey, if you're having an Austin meetup, I wanna have a Boston meetup.

__-__=__, do you know any of the Spill.com guys? They used to do The Reel Deal on some public access thing in Austin. I love their website and podcasts.

Ditto!

I don't usually condone book burning, but for this bitch, I'll make an exception.

Vicki - Boston, yeah !! I would have to hitch a rid from John Travolta's plane to get there but hey, you never know!. I think Robin (the brownie gal) is from Boston.

Meg, as long as this bitch can be used as the Duraflame.

I've been saying we should have a Boston get-together for some time now--so when does everyone want to do it? And yes, of course I'll bring brownies--I wouldn't dare NOT!

Anytime is great with me! I still don't know anybody outside of work and my roommates and I've been here a year and a half!

Come on Enty...how about no editing? We are manipulated enough by some of these shows including the reality shows where editing is the best friend of the day and of whoever that week.

What exactly would she have to say?
I can't see anyone being interested in her ramblings about her daily crap. Nobody will buy the "poor me" story so there is really nothing left but to slyly put it out there that she got away with murder.

OJ did the same thing, he couldn't stand it that people couldn't openly be impressed with his ability to get away with murder.

There are vile, empty people on this earth and I've just mentioned two of them.

I'm not an expert (yet), but I'm a forensic anthropology student - I study the bones of people in the context of criminal cases, and that entails taking a lot general forensic science classes.

In my humble opinion, the prosecution really screwed up the case. The whole 'hair banding' thing that was their big thing was also brought to project innocence some time ago and rejected - it's not proven at all.
Not only that, but the anthropologist was absolutely right about the duct tape, it could have been shifted by animals or even insect activity. Forensically speaking there was no case.

It seems to me that they should have made it a circumstantial case, although thanks to the abundance of forensic TV shows it seems that people expect to see forensic evidence at every murder trial, but they may have had a better go at reasonable doubt and a manslaughter charge that stuck.

I think that if Casey really wants to do this tasteless thing, period (never mind without taking enormous heat), she needs to use any proceeds to start a memorial fund in her daughter's name to educate people about the "dangers of small children drowning in swimming pools" or something.
She'd have to do it that way since I doubt anyone would go to a charity she set up that gives assistance.

If I'm going to read a book written by someone who killed another person, it's going to be the dad in Texas who killed the pedo raping his 5 year old, not this b*tch.

The most comparable instance is the book OJ wrote to try to make money and he was so hated it was a notorious failure.
I would put Casey in the same universally despised class. I think there would be a similar backlash on the publisher for a book by her.
People were really vocal when she first got off with the networks --so that the networks put out statements that they would not pay to interview her.

She might find someone to publish it but I don't think she'll make a bundle on it.

Since Mike is gone, I nominate Dan Rather--he is only online but after his recent press tour to promote his book I have new respect for him.

You know Oprah and Barbara and Katie will be duking it out over any interview she does.

Megsablue said...

@Vicki Ahaha! Perfect.

Seriously, why can't she go away?

califblondy said...

I wouldn't watch an interview with her even if Andy Cohen played the plead the fifth game with her.

It took a while, but karma caught OJ and it'll catch her ass too because just like him, she can't stay out of the limelight.

She'll slip up somehow.

Vicki - I don't know those guys but if I meet them I will report back. Always meeting new folks here.

Del Riser - I forgot about OJ's book. She probably thinks it will work out different for her.

Karma will be knocking at her door soon. I can't believe she is going to get off free after being found not guilty.

Think Jon Benet Ramsey, Nicole Simpson, Natalie Holloway.......

yodelay said...

This disgusting waste of space only needs to write about how she is planning on taking her own life in a vile, painful manner. Nah, she can skip writing about it and just do it!

cheesegrater15 said...

Actually, car54, I think a court ruled that any money made off the book would go to Nicole's family (and I think Ronald Goldman's family, too). The book cover was redesigned to have "If" be in tiny letters and "I Did It" were huge. All money made off the book was put in a trust fund or donated or something. I bought the book only because OJ wasn't getting any money.
