It's Wedding Vow Renewal Weekend
Apparently celebrity couples have chosen this weekend as vow renewal weekend. Wouldn't you know it, the two couples who decided to actually participate are two who also love publicity. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian renewed their vows Friday because after a year you really need to remember why you got married in the first place and Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey renewed theirs in Paris for the fourth time. There have been rumors that Nick and Mariah were having some marital strife so perhaps this vow renewal thing was their way of making those rumors go away. Also for Mariah to get some press and do some shopping and to have another party. I think they do it so often because Mariah likes to feel like the center of attention and being a bride every few months is her way of making that happen.

I think it's stupid. People used to renew their vows on special anniversaries...10th, 25th, 50th...and it meant something. Now these idiots do it every year and it's nothing but an excuse to have a party and buy new clothes. I'm waiting for the trend of "Mr. and Mrs. XYZ have donated $500 to Blank Charity in honor of their 2nd wedding anniversary."

My husband and I couldn't afford a nice wedding so we got hitched at the County Court House. If we had the extra money for a renewal I would jump at the chance. Maybe some day when the kids grow up and we have more money....

She is the most self centered woman I have ever seen. And naturally, shes there without her children, or as she likes to call them,"dem babies.". So ignorant sounding!! What are they, like 2 and shes still whining about how they ruined her weird body? Ugh!

I think when you have to grandly display WHY you are together with someone there is an underlining reason for this that might be problematic.
Showing your love in a thousand quiet ways everyday is SO much more meaningful and heartfelt and guaranteed to last longer than giant displays like yearly vow renewels and such.

My husband and I are planning to renew our vows in Vegas next year when we holiday in the states. There is no special reason, we just think it will be fun. We totally want an Elvis impersonator and for it to be as tacky as humanly possible. We just want to have a laugh and have no pressure. Can't wait.
I can't hate them. They seem really happy together. Besides, she actually has talent so I give her a pass on the diva routine.
I know that people seem to like Mariah and Nick together, but to me, they seem weird. They appear to be happy and that's great, but when I see pictures of them together, something seems off to me.
