Today's Blind Items - The Pregnancies

There is an actor that is still working today and will always be a B lister because of his acting talent, although he had a very long absence because of these two incidents. No one would hire the Academy Award winner/nominee despite his pedigree because of what he did. Apparently time heals a lot of wounds but when you do what he did, it takes a long time and forgiveness from the two women involved.

Back at the height of his fame which was not that long ago, he met up with this very underage teen who had just hit it big and was partying up a storm. When I say teen, I mean barely a teen, but still the biggest story out there. She was a wild child and was not above getting wasted out of her mind. Frequently. Daily even. No family who cared so she was on her own and this actor took advantage of that and had sex with her. She had sex previously but it was with guys just a little older than her, not a guy in his 30's/40's. He did it more than once. In fact he moved her in with him for about a month and then she got pregnant and he kicked her out and sent her back home to her family. What to do? The family sent her to get an abortion and also to rehab. Nothing really happened to the actor at that time. Later though he got into more trouble.

The actor was involved with a woman who is also an actress and is a good solid B-/C+ to this day. Talented. She is very talented. They had a consensual relationship, although any relationship with this actor was always fraught with verbal and physical abuse. He beat her and yelled at her. She too got pregnant and wanted her to have an abortion. She refused. He would beat her on a daily basis to get her to change her mind. She refused. So, he beat her some more until finally one day she lost the baby. Two days later she was gone and so were his job prospects. Both actresses had powerful friends and this A lister who was on the top of his game just faded away almost instantly.

  1. mind = blown.

Part of me is going "as IF that's RDJ" but another part of me thinks "holy crap it's RDJ." Which is awesome.

In all seriousness, though, even if it's not RDJ - ya gotta respect the goal of outing the bad guys. Himmmm is our own Julian Assange. There are victims who need a voice. Let's take this one, whoever it belongs to.

Himmmm, I tip my hat to you, sir!

  2. As Rose pointed out, that story about Kirk Douglas has been going around publicly since at least 2004, so it would be a bit weird if people started making a fuss about it now.

  8. Netta, I hope you saw my post in the upper 700's. :)

Olivia, read the instructions on the upper left side of the blog to see all the comments.

Ms. Cool, hugs to you too. Glad things are better for you.

I agree with previous comments, this is a good community here and I hope we can preserve that with all this new popularity.

  9. @MsCool I've been a long time lurker but seldom comment. I love this site and like you, read to marvel how talent, money, and opportunity are not all they're cracked up to be. But the last couple of weeks have been...difficult.

I've used writing as therapy for many years, but never on this subject. Himmmm's revelations have reminded me if you have a voice, you are obligated to use it, especially if there's the slightest chance it will make a difference.

I'm sorry to hear of your son's health problems, and I hope they aren't serious and they pass. Many blessings to you and your little boy. <3

  11. The Kirk Douglas/Natalie Wood story is well known. It's described in multiple biographies of Natalie Wood, without naming the actor, but it's not a secret. Let's not pretend that Himmmm just revealed something spectacular.

Otherwise? Love the blog, love Himmm's comments, love that he's helping to get the abusers named and shamed.

  12. Himmm, you're a blessing! Albeit a twisted and shocking one but still, a blessing...you've certainly opened my eyes to the world of celebrity and I can honestly say I've never been more satisfied with my tiny little life than I have been this week. You've done a good, good thing here. Very best wishes and if you can return someday we'll all be here eagerly waiting. Peace!

  13. I hope this newfound fame doesnt ruin this site.

Ive been coming here faithfully for years. Reveal day is huge here, even my husband gets in on it.

I have always enjoyed reading the comments, just as much as enty's entries. I hope we didnt screw it up.

I can only hope the trolls go back to Perez and Ted C. And leave us alone. And maybe himmm can drop in from time to time.

I wonder if any of this will finally come to light. The conspiracy nut in me fears that something is coming. I hope himmm will stay anonymous.

  22. @Netta - my little guy was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. He had heart surgery at 4 days, 5 weeks, 5 months and almost 3 years. The last two were open heart. It is quite a serious condition. That, combined with some other issues gave me some serious anxiety problems.

  39. (hello - himjacker here - himmmm reqd. i repost this b/c people having trouble reading in the mass of cmnts. also, it has been edited at the req. of himmm and a himmmfriend. thanks!)

    PART ONE:

(NOTE: This is long. VERY long, and detailed. Sorry about that, but it’s a long goodbye. Wow, I’m kind of teary-eyed and nervous at the same time. Like jumping off a high dive the first time - holding a puppy in your arms! lol. Here goes:)

Hello my old friends (and our new guests as well), I hope each of you are well today.

I first started reading CDAN after an actress friend showed it to me. In fact, you’d be surprised how many actors, filmmakers, and musicians read this blog. Some even comment. I assure you that you’re far cooler than any of them (lol).

From the beginning, this thing has been about sharing some tidbits from behind the scenes, enjoying the community, and maybe trying to even help a few people along the way. All courtesy of my friend Enty. It’s been fun, scary, heartwarming, and hilarious all at once. I (and my associates) have enjoyed it totally, and it’s the most fun I’ve had with my clothes on.

Somehow, this “thing” has gotten a little out of hand. Imagine you and your pals sitting around gossiping and talking. Suddenly you realize a hidden camera is on you, and its being broadcast on the net, and every TV station alive. It might freak you out. That’s how it’s felt the past few weeks. Plus one innocent guy getting buried with crap and he’s a good guy too. But on with the show right?

Now I want to share with you a story and info that goes back a long, long way into Hollywood history. It concerns one of the biggest male stars ever, and one of the most beloved female stars to ever live.

She began her career as a child actress, and enchanted the world. Her mom was the ultimate stage mom, and she had an odd upbringing by normal standards. But she was not that bad compared to many child/teen stars we know about today.

As her teen years came into being, she began to rebel against her mom and the morals of the 1950s. In those days a studio owned you totally and your life was created by them. She went on dates arranged by the studios, and the PR people. In effect, she dated a LOT of gay guys too. In fact, she became close friends with many of the town’s biggest gay stars (closeted or not).

She made the transition from child star into teen actress, and did her duty professionally. But inside, she wanted to be wild and dangerous. And when the new breed of method actors came onto the scene - Brando, James Dean, etc. - she loved it and wanted to be part of that scene.

So badly in fact, that when this director began casting for his teen rebel film, she would do ANYTHING to get the part and prove she was not just a pop idol little kid anymore. And yes, she did do ANYTHING she could. She dressed like a femme fatale, drank, swore, and partied hard. She would have sexual encounters with the director at his bungalow, even though he was twice her age and was married. She didn’t care.

She did get the role, and was carved into legendary status instantly as part of this iconic film and its lore. But sadly, her rebelliousness and partying ways opened a door that was hard to close. As a result, a lot of other male stars and directors and producers assumed she’d do ANYTHING to get other roles too. They were wrong.

One day she was invited to meet with this movie star about an upcoming major role. This man was a legend already, and was very powerful. The studios bowed to him, and he had control over films, budgets, and casting. His PR image was that of a stud, and a righteous family man. His real life was dark, seedy, and without a moral compass.

So as expected, the actress - still a teenager - wanted to meet the powerful star to discuss the role. Thinking the herself was powerful and savvy, she accepted the invite. In his hotel room. She never saw it coming.

    ReplyDelete
  40. PART TWO:

Without even discussing the film, this actor - drunk already - began making a pass at her. She politely declined, and excused herself. He wouldn’t have it. He literally threw her down, slapped the hell out of her, and ripped her clothes off. He shouted obscenities at her, continually punched and held her arms so tight he left scars and bruises.

He raped her repeatedly, spitting on her, and did permanent damage to her body. She was bleeding everywhere, with a battered face. She passed out. When she came to, the actor was still in the room gloating, and told her to come see him tomorrow night and he might give her the role. He laughed at her as she fell down, her legs so wobbly and weak. She gathered her torn clothes, and tried to walk out of the hotel and to her car - blood and semen running down her legs and bruises already forming on her face.

She could barely make it back home in her car. She wanted to kill herself, so ashamed of what happened. The damage to her psyche was permanent, and haunted her forever. But her physical pain was intolerable. She got home and her mother was aghast. Her parents blamed her. Her mom said she must have made the actor mad and offended him. They called a doctor, who took her to the hospital secretly to have her treated. When back at home, she stayed in bed and hidden for weeks.

The studio knew, and did nothing. After all, the star actor was a money machine. Even the actresses powerful agents and friends were helpless to punish him, or else they’d be cast out as well. In the 1950s, much like today, you didn’t rock the boat. The actress eventually recovered physically, and for keeping quiet the studio and agents rewarded her with a bountiful career. She grew into an amazing woman with a legendary career. But she never forgot, or forgave, and never got over what happened.

She never named the star actor publicly, but her friends and family knew the truth. Even after marriage and kids, if she saw this actor anywhere - she would almost convulse and cry. And worst of all, Hollywood and the world continued to honor him, pay him, and treat him like a king.

Today, he’s still alive and barely holding on. But those who know the truth are still hoping and praying he will rot in hell for eternity. That all his good deeds and donations will never mask the truth. That he WILL face justice for the lives he destroyed.

So when the time comes, and the now 95 year old Kirk Douglas, the superstar actor, finally dies, there will be tributes and honors about him. Just remember that he is a monster who never repented, apologized, nor showed any sorrow for destroying the lives of others. Especially the life of that young beloved actress named Natalie Wood.

Think about this when you hear about him being honored by the Academy for his “moral force” in the movie community. Think about his own son who died from a drug overdose, and his own big star son who is a walking monster himself. Think of his grandson who dealt drugs and got others hooked on it too. Think about this every time you see a film starring anyone in that family.

    ReplyDelete
  41. PART THREE:

And with that, I bid you all a warm farewell. I’m not walking away from CDAN or anything else due to fear or pressure. It’s because my work is getting neglected - I think you guys can relate! lol. I’ve had a good break lately for family reasons but things are picking up again and I must return to the real world once more. I’ve never asked for any special attention or tried to sell anything, take anyone’s money, or trolled for affection here. I’ve just offered my opinions and experiences. But it’s gotten kind of crazy when people build websites dedicated to your unmasking. (Yes, really. It’s not like I’m a masked superhero right? Didn’t Iron Man already admit his identity? Geesh!).

But seriously folks, the reason for the anonymity is not to hide and tell lies. It’s to protect me or us from repercussions. It’s so we CAN tell the truth. If what I say is a lie then I have no fear of persecution. But when it is the truth? People get nervous, defensive, and they will pursue you. Trust me.

I appreciate each of you who’ve offered your kind words and hugs. Always remember that most “celebrities” do have feelings too. Hypocritical? Perhaps. But a lot of us are real people on the inside and people’s words do matter. But when you’re a pedophile, rapist, abuser, or beat up people and animals? I think you sacrifice your right to compassion if you don’t stop, repent, and get help. Some who are troubled with drink and drugs (like me in the past) do get help. Some ignore it and think they deserve the world and refuse help. They continue hurting others.

I assure you that I am no better than any of you, and I still have problems I try to confront and correct every single day. It’s an ongoing process. Those of you who say you’re a nobody? That your life is boring? Thank God for that. I assure you that fame is not to be coveted or desired. Money is just money in the end folks, it’s what you are to other humans that really matters. There’s far more heroes as good parents, teachers, cops, therapists, volunteers, cancer survivors, nurses, and even the nice waitress who shares a smile on a hard day with a customer. You guys are heroes, not those of us playing dress up and pretend on a set all day. Be happy you can help another - that is what makes the world better, NOT an award or a swag bag.

Always remember that whatever crisis, depression, or problems you are facing in your life - it is not insurmountable. It shall pass. Nobody (especially me) is perfect, and once we accept that and stop running from the problem, we CAN fix it and it will be better. Have faith, and turn to your friends and family and you will be surprised that you’re never alone in your darkness. I wish each of you peace, happiness, and love. Whomever you are, I assure you the world is better with you in it.

I thank you all for the laughs, the snark, the warmth, and the good times here on CDAN. I especially thank you - ENTY. You deserve all the success you have my friend. I also look forward to that thing, with the people, in that place. You know (lol). Enty is a good soul, and I hope you guys realize how awesome he is to share all of this with you. He’s not perfect so don’t put him too high on a pedestal - haha. Good luck buddy.

So to each of you, our long-time pals and cohorts, be good, behave, and be cool. Keep those Blind guess skills sharp, and always mix in some humanity with your snark. Not much, but a little (lol). Take care, and I look forward to catching up with you in the future when I return back and the case is re-opened. Now? I’m off to save the world.

We don’t say goodbye, we say “see you later”.

  51. You guys, I hate to be the one to burst all our bubbles, because I enjoyed this too, but.... YOU FOOLS.

First of all, the Kirk Douglas Natalie Wood story has been circulating in Hollywood rumors (and also on the web) for AGES. This is not new tea. This is not breaking news. This is someone using commonly accepted gossip about a dead actress and a dying actor to try to gain some street cred. There are no risks in outing either the victim or the abuser.

Kirk Douglas has been known as the most hated man in Hollywood for years. Ditto for Ryan O'Neal. Why would any blind item TODAY talk about Ryan O'Neal's actions DECADES AGO? Everyone knows Ryan O'Neal is a sadistic bastard. HIS CHILDREN HAVE TOLD US! He SHOT at his son and it has been OUT IN THE OPEN FOR YEARS THAT HE ABUSED ALL OF THEM.

Not saying it's okay in any way, obviously, but you're not really making breaking news by telling people that Ryan O'Neal is an asshole. I guess the only thing someone could say in this instance is that the victims are different - allegedly Drew Barrymore and some other woman. But all this does is inform us of NEW VICTIMS to speculate about, to gossip about on a blog, because be honest people none of you are going to help the victim. None of you idly gossiping about whether or not Drew Barrymore had an abortion at 11 are going to help, because VICTIMS DO NOT WANT TO RELIVE THEIR ABUSE ON A GOSSIP WEBSITE. PERIOD. END OF STORY. THE END. DON'T PRETEND TO BE DOING GOD'S WORK HERE.

Why does "himmmm" seem to hint obliquely at being Robert Downey Jr time and again? Could it be that he really is Robert Downey Jr. and is yearning for someone to do the very basic legwork to uncode his clues? Or is he someone ENTIRELY DIFFERENT who WANTS all of you to believe he's RDJ? Why would he go to the extreme effort of anonymity if he gives up his identity with weak clues every time he posts? Why?

Robert Downey Jr. still needs to eat, he has been working very mainstream within the industry. It's not as if he's some indie actor working out of Minnesota. He lives in the belly of the beast, and he needs work. Even hinting who you are can have permanent repercussions that no smart actor concerned about their career would risk.

For those of you writing little messages to Robert Downey Jr in the comments section... Get a clue. Fast.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Getmanygrips- you need to relax.

Whether or not its him, no need to berate the posters here.

Who are you anyway, Micahel Douglas?

  53. I wish you'd clarify MD being a "walking monster".

I know about the cheating and the awful parenting, which is terrible, but not unusual in Hollywood.

Also, I really wonder what's wrong with CZJ, for making such a choice.

Incidentally, her first love (a Scottish TV presenter) was someone who was revealed to be a serial rapist. About 30 women accused him of rape.

I co-sign with Himmm. Ryan O'Neal seems tailor-made to be the POS. He was hugely desired in the mid to late 70s. Barbra Streisand was really turned out by him and cut the fool over him. He was also nominated for Paper Moon. Tatum wrote about bringing her friend Melanie Griffith home for sleepovers and such, then during a trip to Europe (I think), catching her in bed with her Dad. She also said the relationship continued for a while. This was before Melanie married Don Johnson at age 16 or something. I'm pretty certain that I read about him making RDJ's life hell during "Chances Are" . Also, as someone a bit older than her, I distinctly remember photos of Drew Barrymore (in a white fur coat) out drinking with her Mom, some with her boyfriend who was like 15 to her 10. Her mother gave interviews trying to justify it with the "old soul" crap Liz Smith, the great ass-kisser, used to interview her all the time. I was a kid and saw this was effed up! As far as Farrah tolerating Ryan's crap, I was told by a few folks, that Lee Majors used to live with an older dude before making it big. Maybe Farrah had a lot of practice in overlooking her Man's history?

First of all you look REALLY stupid now to all the people that were here when his story was first posted because it included the phone number of Natalie Woods fucking daughter to VERIFY IT (one of the things edited out in this repost). Several people here looked up that # and it belongs to Natasha Wagner - so slip off your high horse.
Second of all, YOU get a clue. Sounds like you have Lainey-itis and this is really bothering you that someone with credibility can verify something. Let me guess you have a failed blog somewhere, or maybe a poorly-written one that many here have said they no longer visit? Either way, you're entitled to your opinion but to slam everyone here means you need to find the exit door I'm afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not to mention, no celebrity (because that's what RDJ is) worth his salt would post the number of a friend and actress on a public website. NEVER. Why would anyone do that?

The only reason I could think of someone intentionally putting Natasha Wood's number up so that strangers could harass her with questions about whether or not her mother was raped decades ago is if that person is SO DESPERATE to prove to onlookers that they are the real deal that they'll stop at no lengths.

Why is himmmm giving us actresses numbers? (That can be found through a simple search in white pages, btw)

Himmmm drops the very obvious Two Girls and a Guy hint to suggest that he's Robert Downey Jr. yet again. If RDJ wants to remain anonymous, he's doing a very poor job of it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. No, I'm not Michael Douglas because celebrities are NOT reading the tripe that you have to spew on this website!

Sorry Debbie at home in Atlanta, but you're not really talking to Robert Downey Jr. Your life is still meaningless.

  59. Himmmm is DEFINITELY NOT RDJ, but has worked with him......Himmmm is not well known, but has had small parts in movies and television. Himmmm had the original post edited, the clear clue's he gave in the original post as to his identity have been removed, as well as the phone number, which is a good thing. His original farewell post identified who he is if you connected the dots. He is not famous, as he stated in his original un-edited post.

I enjoyed his entertaining writing style and found most of his posts credible.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Did you miss earlier when he said it may confirm the thoughts about his identity and he didn't care because he was taking a break from here? God you are dense. Go back to your blog.

  61. If you guys think I'm messed up and not all the people who have been salivating with glee from finding out about an 11 year old who was supposedly raped, thanking "himmmm" for the juicy juicy gossip they so enjoyed, you have more problems than I even thought.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I don't care who Himmmm is, just as I don't care who Enty is or does. The posts and comments are juicy.

I agree that it could be rather foolish to take a risk in your career by revealing dirt, but who am I to say? It's not my gamble. I appreciate the posts and comments, and I hope that they always continue.

I love love love this blog and I have been a lurker for only about a year, but I have been trying to post more comments, because I love the community here at CDAN. :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. 100% convinced getmanygrips = Lainey. Account JUST created March 2012 - to come here and make her comments on her own blog seem legit. Go away Lainey, your blog sucks ass. Himmmm also slammed you earlier, which no doubt caused you to run and sign up for an account. Fuck off.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I want to again say Thank You to "himmmm, herrrr, enty & co. " for trying and succeeding to revel the child molesters, rapists, and the general dirt bags who have abused any other human, be it a child, woman or man....

What you are doing is honorable, invaluable and brave. Your integrity is great. I send along best wishes for all.

    ReplyDelete
  65. So is that why you won't open comments on your blog, getmanygrips?

Because us plebes are pathetic and fools and have problems???

    ReplyDelete
  66. Wow, something is going to pop soon. Enty's real ID, Hmmm's real ID. No way this stuff reaches 800+ comments and Gawker's homepage multiple times without it all coming to light.

To paraphrase "Dead Again": This is all about to become very interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't have a blog.

I can point out how sick and stupid this is without having a blog!

    I am not "Lainey."

I'm an ordinary person who thinks this whole gossip goose hunt is unveiling something very gross about the way we consume celebrity media.

Someone just said of this sick shit, "The posts and comments are juicy."

    Yay rape!

    Look at yourselves.

  69. Gary Oldman comes to mind. I know he and Uma had some stuff going on like this. I'm would assume she was the older victim although she was only 20 when she married him. I would grade her significanly higher on the Hollywood food chain than B- or C+, though. If this is the case, I can't think who the little girl might be.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I want to know - what does Christoper Walken know about that night on the boat?

Although he's probably a scoundrel, I might actually have to cover my ears and LALALALALA if anything comes out about him when more comes out about Natalie's death, because goddamn, that SNL sketch for the Walken Family Reunion is my favourite ever.

    I don't like spooky things!

So funny, you write EXACTLY like her, like a 12-year-old uneducated girl with emotional issues writing in a journal... Go back to your blog and stare at the empty space where there would normally be comments but you turned them off when people started calling you out on your shit.

  75. I recall that Ryan Oneal actually tried to pick-up on his daughter, Tatum (mistaking her for a random blonde) after Farrah's funeral. I remember thinking there must be something seriously wrong with the man. Here's a link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/03/ryan-oneal-i-hit-on-my-da_n_249668.html

Himmmm, thank you for having the cojones to speak the truth. You rule!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. It wasn't about "juicy gossip", at least not for me. It was about shining a light on all the disgusting, perverted, CRIMINAL activity going on and on and ON. I don't give a rat's ass who Himmmm and Them are, that doesn't really matter. What matters is this kind of fucking shit going on even today! and no one doing anything to stop it. How many people have to be sacrificed and ruined before it stops?

It's the SILENCE. I'm just a regular person and I never knew all of this went on -- call me stupid or naive, whatever. But I won't support ANYONE who has been found to hurt a child, teen, young adult, OLD adult -- and this post gave me the courage to share my own story.

IT'S SICKENING. The general silence has allowed these sub-humans to indulge in behavior that is INHUMAN. It has to stop.

So, getmanygrips? You'd better get one yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @Blondie1001 - Agreed. I don't think it's Ryan Fuckhead O'Neil (I will forever now say his name like that).

I do also agree with the comments regarding the sensitivity of these blinds. Whoever the guy is, the blind could have been worded. More to indentify the monster, instead of leading us through a trail of breadcrumbs via his victims. I'm talking to you, Enty.

Himmmmmmm. I have to wonder. If you all are so embedded in the industry, as you say you are, than surely the people who hire/fire/kill/recusitate know. If that's the case, then what is the point of gossiping and casting suspicion on a blog to a bunch of people who will never know the truth?

In the nicest way possible, I'm calling bull. From the fake RDJ mess to admiting that there are a few of you after commentators were starting to notice that your writing styles started shifting.

But then again, I just have an inquisitive mind.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Don't listen to her idiotic statement. The part she quoted was from someone talking the blog in general, not about rape being juicy. Lainey is a moron.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Long time lurker first time commenting.

I have been the excitement on the board lately thanks in large part to Himmmm. No matter who you are you have brought a sense of community out. It's been entertaining. It is a hard industry you are in and I'm sure that you are exposed to more monstrosities than anyone should be. It's nice to see that you've kept a level head. Be safe and stop by when you can to say hi.

As for the original blind I agree Drew/RFO/Melanie.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Ugh. After watching an episode of Ryan O'Neal on that show he did with his daughter recently, my thought was "I am watching a master manipulator/abuser here."

Being raised by one makes it easy to recognize it in someone else.
It also makes it easy for you to become a victim of one (or your own self abuse through drugs, etc). Which makes sense with Tatum's personal challenges.
I am sad for the women who went through this.
Thanks for the clarity on this blind, Himmmm.

    ReplyDelete

  89. Is RFO the large scale drug dealer who took acting gigs just expand his client base? and visited himmmm in rehab?

also - as for the whole this is just an addicts high. Maybe.
It's called "Recovery" because there is no cure. It's constant recovery and work - the trait of addiction does not get removed, it gets channeled for something positive. So if this is for a high, then kudos to you bc then you have reached major milestones in your recovery.

  101. Himmmm: Um, what can I say that hasn't been said? (Probably plenty, and I'll probably take up way too many column inches in the process...) It's been sickening beyond mere words to read your accounts of abuse, rape, molestation, etc.; on the other hand, it's also been comforting to learn that there are still plenty of good, decent people out there, both in and outside "the business", and by dragging some of the muck into the light of day, you and Enty are most certainly among them. (Mind you don't break your own arm patting yourself on the back, now--methinks you'll be needing that arm in your next job... ;-)

I've been accused by my friends of giving people the benefit of the doubt and assuming the best of them way too often; in your case, though, I think it's safe to say that, if anything, you've exceeded my admittedly rose-colored expectations to a degree I wouldn't have believed possible. I've met plenty of terrific people over my years as a fangirl, and have half-jokingly said that as soon as they work the bugs out of human cloning, I have a very short list of People Who Need to Be Cloned for the Benefit of Humanity...consider yourself the newest addition to the list, and go pull up a chair next to Billy Bragg, OK? (You might not agree on politics, but when it comes to basic human decency, I think you'll both get along just fine. ;-)

Thank you for all of your comments over the past couple of years (with a tip of the hat to your 3 Co-Himmmms, Herrrr, and Himmmmjacker as well), and for all the fun we've had in this little corner of the net. You may be amused to learn that you've inspired me to finally get off my butt and start up a blog devoted to my misspent youth as the alt-rock Betty Crocker (and I still want to know how you knew that about me, damn it...) and other silly topics--I'll be going live, as it were, on April 4 (only partially due to Mercury going direct on that date, mind you...), so hop on over to afangirlsnotes.blogspot.com then; I've got something planned that I think you'll get a big kick out of. ;-)

Take care of yourself and your loved ones, esp. Herrrr and the new baby, OK? We know you have business to tend to, but we'll miss you when you're gone, so come on back when you have the time--we'll leave a light in the window for you so you can find your way back, OK?

(Oh, and feel free to look me up if you're ever in Boston--I believe I owe you some brownies, along w/a prime rib dinner at Durgin Park--after all, since you've apparently already heard about my baking prowess, it's only fair and decent that you get to check it out firsthand, eh? *hugs*)

And a side-note (this really has nothing to do with recent comments, I'm just curious) I have noticed, on blogs and forums, that the most heinous and hideous name to call someone/group of posters is "housewife". Why is that exactly because the posters are supposed to be old and housebound while married, or are they young and uneducated? I just don't know the demographic that this is supposed to offend.

  108. I've been reading and loving CDAN for years and years now, but rarely comment unless I have something different to add to the discussion. Without fail, there is always someone who thought the exact same thing as me and has already posted it, so I just sit back and enjoy :)

Once I started reading this site (which I do daily, usually before getting out of bed... I'm in Hawaii, so I don't have to wait to get the goods like I did when I was living in CA a few years ago) I stopped going to all of the other gossip sites that I used to frequent. None of them compared to this one. I always enjoy Enty, all of the commenters (which is so rare, comments are usually unbearable on other sites), and have loved Himmmm's input, as well as Bnl's, for insider info

I am so sad to see Himmmm have to go and I really hope that this little community stays precious. The number of comments, sudden appearance of trolls, and the amount of outside press worries me.

Although it would be amazing to have someone who we all know and love be the mysterious Himmmm, it is not necessary. His posts have always been charming and informative. I don't care if he is the bellhop at Chateau Marmont or a valet at some random restaurant on Sunset... I don't care who Himmmm is, I like him and hope he finds a way to still be involved here!

Regardless, I respect all of your opinions, but I wish that a few of you would state your opinion in perhaps a kinder manner.

  122. Hello to you too...and you are???? In general "himmmm, herrrr, enty & co." have taken a chance and succeeded. Does it matter who they are in person. I don't think it does and I don't think it was an objective to cause such speculation either.

It happened naturally. No one knows who any of these blogger's are and the majority on this blog don't want to know. I also do not think as it was alluded to that this was done to achieve a "natural high in place of..." I think the intent is/was simple...."himmmm" previously stated was that some friends just blogged for enjoyment just like yourself and me...So what is it with the deep, deep analysis? Take "himmmm's" explanation as it stands on its own. You seem to be the one "hoodwinked: here...

I praise and admire "himmmm & co." for their efforts. Way To Go...and Thank You....

Ok Off topic. So, some people think Himmmm is RDJ. Is he? I don't think so. I really wish it was just because I would like to know that he is not off chasing the dragon, but it doesn't matter.

One time about 7 years ago I had a group of about 9 europeans come up to me at Disney World. They asked for my autograph. I said "No, I am no one important". Then they all asked if they could take pictures with me and have a kiss. I agreed to do that. I have no idea who they thought I was, and since their english was very very limited I never found out. Later in the day 3 more from their group saw me and wanted pictures. I know I wasn;t who they were looking for, but the way they lit up and smiled and got so excited.. it was worth it. I made them happy.

My mom said they probably thought I was Meg Ryan, since I look like her...normal "Sleepless in Seattle/You got Mail" Meg, not duck lips Meg. I get the comment. you know you really resemble Meg Ryan at least every two weeks still..

Whoever you are, thank you and best wishes in the coming days.

Getmanygrips:refuse to feed the nastiness you spew. Ooops, guess I just did.

Laura, I've seen the "housewives" hate around in various places for years, and ran into it personally a time or two when we lived on the East Coast. Never mind that I actually have a Master's degree and the egotistical person looking down on me didn't, he felt safe in assuming I was an uneducated idiot because I was "just" a stay at home housewife and mother. It's the sign of an insecure and rather unintelligent person. They can't discuss in a reasonable manner, so they are reduced to calling names. Sorry, it's a bit of a hot button for me.

So many sad stories here tonight, I wish peace for all of you.

You might also be concerned about people taking Himbo's statements at face value and instantly deciding that such-and-such is a bad person based on an anonymous unsourced unevidenced accusation. Everything is true because somebody said it was true, regardless of whether it actually is.

And, any apparent danger to the fantasy construct is met with vitriolic rage.

Seriously, Himbo, man: Ponzi scheme. I'm telling you. These people are RIPE.

  152. Ahh, just looked at Gawker and what do I see, but my former favorite website, CDaN. Glad y'all made the big leagues--this is all over the place. I read himmmm's comments and thought it was profound that he talked about loving our fellow humans. Very profound. Well, lest I be called out for trollin', adios muchachos, hope the Internets let me know when MV is revealed.

  156. Hey which one of you rascals updated KD's wikipedia page?

  162. Like the sign says...crazy days and nights and we've certainly had that around here.

Maybe to some it was common knowledge that Kirk Douglas raped Natalie Wood, but I'm hearing it first here. The Mum taught to me to read with the old Hollywood gossip mags, so it's not like I'm new to gossip crapola. For me this was big news and I thank Himmmmm, Herrrrr, Itttttt, or Thinggggg for bringing it here.

As far as Enty's true I.D. or any of the multiple syllabled names I listed above, I really don't need to ever know.

    Party on, Garth.

He can be nice when he wants something but his temper is legendary. @Himmmm probably has some good stories. Talk about walking wide circles or not getting anywhere near someone especially if they are mad or angry. Can't really deal with a walking time bomb though.

Just want to say people throw the term 'pedophile' around a lot. It sounds to me like these predators can more accurately be described as ephebophiles. It may seem like splitting hairs but a PEDO goes after children...like, undeveloped pre-pubescents which is even more monstrous to me.

Actually, from knowing absolutely nothing about any of these to google hunting references the stuff I found about RFO and confessions from his own family and his activities I Know that I am talking about grown men brutally abusing undeveloped pre-pubescents as well as brutally abusing sort of adults. And as for poor Natalie, please don't say a couple more years age on her and then no harm no foul, c'mon!!! I will never accept that Jackcrap is somehow OK hooking up with a 13 year old. Yes I want to know so I can boo him down if I ever lay eyes on him. Maybe if he starts loosin his fanbase he might realise he is doing stuff wrong. I had heard about Burton raping Taylor but I have no idea how old she was at the time. When I stumbled over that unbelieble discription he gave of Tatum and they wrote it up in reviews, I just want Hollywood to know BOOOOOOOO! How could you let that slide and give the man any props. Men who speak like that tend to be involved with porno rings of minors don't you think it should have been properly looked into and not just stuffed under the rug.

  174. Just want to pop in and say a big thank you to everyone, especially Enty and Hmmmm! I love reading everyone's comments and I have to say they are the most courteous and thoughtful on the internet. Truly.

As for some people claiming that we readers are titillated by these stories, I think you are jumping to conclusions. Are we interested? Yes! As it is interesting. If I read a story about a shooting in Iraq but there were some missing details so I search for more and read the comments, does that make me a sadomasochist? No. I like to be informed, I believe it is important to learn and grow from these events.

I read celebrity gossip to be entertained but sometimes stories come out that are not entertaining. They are not for mockery and jokes but worth reading because they can teach us something. They fall into the category of history not worth repeating. And there is only one way not to repeat history.

This is a friendly suggestion, if this topic is bothersome, irritating and/or disgusting for you then simply click the x and find something better to do with your time. I believe most people reading this blog and the comments have the ability to make up their own minds whether the information is factual or not. Calling others out for believing it or not does no service.

As for the blind, it has to be Drew Barrymore for the teen. Who else could it be? She fits all the details. And I wasn't around for Ryan O'Neal's heyday and I am glad for that fact! It's amazing to see that Drew has moved on and has a very successful career, considering all the paths she could have gone down. I think that right there proves that there is some good in Hollywood, her friends must not be just powerful but also genuinely caring.

  180. This is my first time guessing a blind.

    - Lindsay Lohan
    - Benicio Del Toro
    - Catherine Keener

Lindsay hit it big after Parent Train in 1998. That same year Benicio starred in Fear and Loathing. However, would Catherine Keener be considered B-/C+?

BDT and Catherine Keener dated in 2006.

  185. Oh, and this is no way making fun of anyone in particular, but scrolling through the comments I was rolling at this type of sequence:

Poster 1: Holy Fuck-balls, Himmm, that was incredible!!!!!1

Poster 2: I can't believe it, I can't believe it, I feel so dirty, this is so much to digest!

Poster 3: thank you for your bravery, this is wild!

Poster 4: Hi! I'm new here! I'm not sure, but I think it might be Hillary Duff and Helen Hunt, and....Tom Hanks as the rapist? Though the timeline is throwing me a little bit.

  186. damn all the gossip blogs must have been watching closely. Gawker posted this http://gawker.com/5893793/did-robert-downey-jr-just-accuse-kirk-douglas-of-a-brutal-rape

can everyone just DROP the RDJ stuff? It's really pissing me off. we can speculate, but can we just keep that in our heads and imagine himmmm is whoever we think they are and stop there? now he can't post anymore :(

  187. tea is definitely a big word at Lipstick Alley, I don't think I see it used anywhere the way it is there. And the posters there can be very harsh (I only lurk there for that reason).

It's hard to generalize 1000 posts, but I saw a LOT of people here say they don't want to discuss the victims, they only want to discuss the criminal. There is no glee at guessing a rape victim that I see. And that's all I will say about that which darkened our doorstep tonight.

I saved the original Himmmm posts, but the repost is pretty much the same without the phone number or reference to that movie. That's all.

  189. I saw the Gawker article and was a little upset that they got copys of the post from people at CDAN. Granted it is a gossip site, so I guess it is kind of ironic that I am upset that our information is being spread and talked about on other sites, but I always kind of felt that we had an unwritten code about that kind of stuff. I welcome new visitors to the site, just hope that they understand that we try (not always successful) to be respectful of each other.

  195. I'm catching up. I have a bit of insomnia and just popped some melatonin cause that's how I roll.

  196. I was leaning heavily toward William Hurt. As a high profile, Oscar-caliber actor, he did seem to fade out of the spotlight pretty quickly. And, his relationship with Marlee Matlin seemed to be....not positive and kind of unsavory... I was unsure who the pre-teen/teen actress could be, though.

But, with the heavy implications that it is RFO and DB, I am left feeling very depressed. I have always felt that DB was an example of resilience in the face of the soul-sucking atmosphere of Hollywood...it makes me really sad that this may have happened to her. She must have been so frightened at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  197. Wow everything has blown up on here! I'm a long-time reader and occasional poster (rarely have anything to add to the conversation) - it's crazy how "big" CDAN has gotten in the last few weeks.

I don't think anyone is reacting with glee at any of these stories. For me with the Natalie Wood story - I'm reacting with horror and admiration for her overcoming that and going on to be such an amazing actress. Though I like to think I'm a bit of an old movie buff, I'd never heard of that story before (I spend more time watching the movies than actually looking at the stories surrounding them I guess).

For Himmmm, no matter who you are (or aren't), thank you for shedding some light on the inner workings of HW. I'm actually glad that my parents wouldn't spring for the headshots and acting classes when I was younger now. Hopefully things die down enough that you can come back - even if it's not as Himmmm.
