Lil Wayne Doesn't Mow His Lawn
You would think that with all the kids he has, Lil Wayne could find one of them to mow his lawn. You know because they were in trouble or need allowance. Yes, I know most of them are only toddlers, but they need to start learning somewhere. Lil' was cited for high grass at his Louisiana home. It is listed for $1.7M so you would think lawn maintenance would be high on the list of priorities. Of course it is listed as a "celebrity house" so maybe you don't need to do anything else. In case you want to drive by the house, his address is 408 Rue De La Riviere which I am pretty sure is the name of his next album or a way for Bradley Cooper to run around with a French accent and pick up women.

Well, he's not going to cut the grass. And he's not going to pay someone to cut the grass. The only grass he's going to spend dollars on is the kind he smokes.

I don't give a flying f about this 1 stop baby momma making machine. I just want to say that I got slapped with one of these, b/c I live in a ridiculous community (yes I should have known better to buy there). My freaking community wants our lawn trimmed super low. So low, it is so bad for your lawn and makes you have to fertilize even more. So ridiculous! You want a healthy lawn, don't trim it too low and mulch when you mow. Easy! Rant over!
I HATE HOAs. This is the first time I've ever lived with one, and even though their requirements are such that I would do them anyway, it's just a pain in the ass to make sure it's done "their" way. My arthritis makes gardening/mowing difficult now, but it's a lot easier and cheaper to hire a yard service to come by once a week. But yeah, this dopey guy needs to get one of his kids to get out there and mow (are they old enough?)
SusanB, believe it or not it is not a HOA. It is a city. They are just super strict. It makes me so mad because I like to garden sustainably.
Agree it isn't good to let things go and make your community look like crap. His front yard is pretty small, all things considered. Not alot of work.
@luckylass - you're right - in my more limber days I could have knocked off that front yard with a mower and edger in 45 minutes. Maybe less if there hadn't been much rain.

If that is their idea of high grass i'd hate to know what they'd say if they saw my parents garden!
I know this is a prime example of obnoxious First World Problems, but his neighbors paid ungodly amounts of money to move into a manicured neighborhood. If they have to adhere to some bullshit standard concerning aesthetics/grass blade length, so should Lil' Wayne. Fuck him. I know very little about him, but I definitely dislike that man more and more each time I read something about his latest bout with irresponsibility.
Lawns are a dumb waste of time and resources, anyway. Gardens are the way to go -- even the unkempt and unruly ones are beautiful.
i love smoking pot. one time i was hanging out with these rapper's and i was like,"hey, wanna get high?" they were like, "the fuck is this? who let this white girl in our trailer?" i was like,"DUH? WHo do you think?". and passed the blunt to RAPPER#1. Rapper#1 was fine. But, this was in 95 so of course I didn't know how gorgeous black men were until I fuq'd all kind's of nasty aggressive white guy's. mainly, my dj boyfriend who let me in the trailer. he is all kinds of famous now. his died. so, they had to give him the gig. anyway, it was goog money spent since it was a cheap date unlike the dead guy who is only pushing up daisy's instead of a fist or turntable...whatever. all i know is...LIGHT IT UP! Let's have a toast for the douchebag's!xo
I'm no fan of his, but from this distance, his lawn looks just fine (in terms of growth). Although the grass does look like it needs to be watered.
I used to live on an acre of lawn in WA. spent lots of time mowing. Now live in LV where they pay you to take out your grass. I love a desert landscape and a big raised garden.

With all the awesome architecture in the city, I think I would have chosen a house that didn't look like a doctor's office.
@Luckylass - that's too bad because the extra fertilizer can't be all that great for the environment depending upon what kind you're using not to mention the cost of gas to mow. And city and HOA rules are all because one anal dumbass has inflicted his personal preference and not because it looks good for everyone. So annoying!
I cannot believe Lil Wayne is living in Kenner, LA. Think of any surburban wasteland city and well, that's Kenner. Super gross. Yes, there are gated communities in Kenner, but they are just OK. Most celebrities live in Uptown New Orleans... so, I'm scratching my head why Lil Wayne decided to buy there. Maybe it's so his kids have a backyard?
HOAs can be ridiculous. My husband got the unfortunate luck to be nominated as the Pres of ours a few months after we moved and the shit people complain about is truly astounding. However, not mowing your grass is LAZY. He has the money to hire someone. If you don't want to maintain your yard, don't buy a house.
