Pretty Impressive Dunk

I'm not a big LeBron James fan, but even I admit that when you jump completely over another human even if they are a foot shorter then dunk the ball, it is pretty impressive. Now, if only LeBron could learn to make a shot in the 4th quarter of a game when something was on the line.

Call me crazy, but he clearly knees the player in the back as he goes to the rim. A foul should have been called.

#1 rule with something like that: get out of the way, because you don't want to be posterized.

I like LeBron. He gets a lot of hate, but I don't get it. He takes care of his kids, doesn't get arrested, seems sincere in his charity giving, and has a sense of humor.

But he's the most hated player in the NBA.

I can understand Cleveland giving him a hard time. But everyone else needs to get a life. With all the accused rapists, sperm donors, wife beaters, and general bad guys in the league, LeBron isn't close to being that bad of a person, AFAIK.

Oh, and I am the only one that remembers that LeBron carried the sorry Cavs to the 2007 Finals basically by himself?

Or that he scored 10 points in the closeout game against the Celtics last year?

Or that he shut down Derrick Rose during the ECF?

But LeBron is so BAAAAAD! *shakes head*

Raise your hand if you thought it said "Pretty Impressive Drunk".

I loathe LaBron, but that was impressive.

And @ Layna, I see your points, however, what he did with that press conference was the douchiest move he could have made. I didn't care that he was leaving Cleveland, I cared about HOW he did it. I mean the ownership found out in that press conference. I don't care how good of a player you are (and he's great), that's just uncalled for.

Thank you Layna Day! I have to laugh when I hear people complain about LeBron. Their biggest complaint is that he isn't on their team - because nobody in Miami is complaining!

Other than the qualities you listed, he is one of the most selfless players in the NBA. He makes everyone around him look better.

It's fun to be a Heat fan these days!

Yeah, he seems like a nice guy. But the televised Decision should have made him put $10K in the douche jar (New Girl shout out). And he chokes, then gets all mad like a little girl. He pouts like nobody's business. Just saying.

@Vicki: Yep that is how I read the headline first. = )

Agree with nolachickee.

Please check out the Cleve vs Boston playoff series a couple years ago, right before "the decision" His lack of effort was nauseating.

And the 2007 championships, CLE was swept.

He got nothing from love from Cleveland fans and he gave them a big middle finger in return. Miami, I'm sure you will witness his "professionalism" sooner or later. My sympathy when that happens.

@Vivki - ditto, was disappointed to read further that it was about a basketball game

Me, too. I thought it would be a video of Lohan reciting the first 40 lines of the Canterbury Tales.

@Patty: was the sweep LeBron's fault? Or more on the teammates that couldn't hit the side of a barn?

Dan Gilbert had plenty of chances to get LeBron good teammates. But no, he signs a streaky Antwaun Jamison and past-his-prime Shaquille O'Neal. Then has the nerve to get mad when LeBron leaves, when anyone paying attention knew it would happen.

LeBron could have signed a 5-year deal with Cleveland in 2006. He went with 4 years. Bottom line: everyone knew LeBron was leaving.

I can see why The Decision would rub Cleveland fans the wrong way. But everyone else--especially Dan Gilbert--can move on, IMO. Save that hate for someone who really has it coming.

I don't understand the hate for LeBron for simply leaving one team for another. That's what happens in professional sports. They get traded.

At first glance I thought the title of this was "Pretty Impressive Drunk"... and then I wondered where you had gotten footage of my weekend.

Just want to throw this one out there: I went to middle school with John Lucas and he was a total douche. Before puberty started kicking in for me he was a total jerk. One time just walked up for no reason and-in front of his friends- closed my locker on me and walked away while they all laughed.

Cut to 8th grade and he has the balls to ask me out. I reminded him of the time he embarassed me in front of his friends and said there's your answer.

In conclusion: Should've kicked him in the head while you were up there, LeBron.

A side note about this particular game…

There was a marathon on the streets of Miami that day so LeBron, who lives about 5 miles from the arena, biked to work instead of driving.
