Amber Portwood & Teen Mom
The Daily Mail has a report today that Amber Portwood is trying to get out of her Teen Mom contract with MTV. Her mom says it is so Amber can live a normal life without all the pressure associated with the show. Nice try. If you were a high school dropout with no career prospects, a toddler and no plans for the future, do you think you would want to get out of a contract that pays you almost $100K a year? Exactly. The reason she would be trying to get out of the contract is so she can get her own reality show where she could get paid way more. Her mom just wants a piece of that action which is why she has taken the lead in trying to cancel the contract. I hate when people say they are doing things for the good of someone when it is really just because they want to make a buck.

Why are pieces of turd like this rewarded? My boyfriend can't get a job and he is a college graduate and he's been looking since May. This sickens me.
look for her to file bankruptcy to void any contracts. Worked for TLC when they were in crappy record deal.

nobody would watch it. i can't watch the parts of 'teen mom' that feature her. she makes me ill.

Do you want to know what a normal life is for a 16 and pregnant girl who doesn't get to be on Teen Mom after having her baby? I was at Walmart yesterday and guess who was the cashier checking me out - It was Felicia from a previous season. It really was! I'm glad to see she has a job in this economy. For some reason I don't see Amber as being willing to go get a regular job after her Teen Mom gig. Has Amber even gotten her GED yet? I think she'd better do whatever she can to stay on that show, because that's all that stands between her and a job that does not require a high school diploma.
This girl personifies white trash -- ugly, stupid and greedy. She's vile.
wow! Just goes to show how naive I can be. I thought it was because she was getting beat up in jail because of her "celebrity" status.
Agree @Sherry - that show, no matter how detestable the idea is, it is the best thing that could ever happen to her. Many would dream to get the chance, let alone to get it at 16!
Someone needs to sit her down and explain things to her. Do the damn show for a few seasons, this'll give her a chance to put enough money aside to go to COLLEGE and still take very good care of her child!
And hey, can they do a show on "38 and Pregnant"? i'd apply. Not pregnant, but let me tell you, I'd know how to handle 100K a season, and raise a child beautifully!
