Scotty McCreery Forgets To Sing

Yesterday during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, Scotty McCreery was supposed to sing his song The Trouble With Girls. The problem is that the song started playing and you could hear the words, but Scotty still had not brought the microphone up to his mouth. Uh oh. It is not the lip synching, because lets face it, this is a parade, but you would think he could have practiced it a bit. Hey, at least he did not forget the words to a song like Justin Bieber did the other day on Today.

ick, that song sounds like a horrid song! maybe he just wants to pretend he didn't sing that monstrosity.

Maybe his earbud thingys weren't working so he couldn't hear the beginning of the song. Still, embarrassing!

Aside from the missed intro he is just an unbelievable lip sync-er. Very bad.

To be fair, none of those singer/band actually sang. Every one of them were lip syncing. They had one band with a female keyboard player who didn't keep her hands on the keyboard. There was music playing and she was off in lala land.

Avril Lavigne grabbed her mic late too. There was also guitar player playing with winter gloves on. I loved how the very mature Neil Diamond sounded like he was 40 years younger!

Totally off topic but did anyone see Enrique sing 'i Like It' with Pit Bull who had some semi sexy kind of dodging and weaving boxing moves but embarrassed me with his tongue work?

I'm surprised at how many people don't realize that Macy's parade performers have been lip-syncing for years. And several singers had similar issues this year. It's not exclusive to Scotty. I suspect some tech person got chewed out over all this.

Yeah, everybody lip syncs at parades. No biggie.

Echoing what others have said above - they all lipsync (no big deal there) and I was thinking there must have been some sort of technical difficulty as several performers seemed to start late. I think too much has been made of this...
