Shia LaBeouf Threatened Man With Knife
TMZ tracked down one of the witnesses to the beat down of Shia LaBeouf in Vancouver. The man, named Shea (parents Mets fans?) says he witnessed the fight and tried to help Shia after the fight. For his efforts, Shia threatened the guy with a knife, although never actually showing it. So, Shea stopped helping and went back inside. Shortly after that he looked out the window and Shia was making throat slashing gestures at Shea.
So, how come Shia does not go to rehab? How come Shia and his temper cannot seem to hold a girlfriend longer than he stays away from the bottle? Yeah, remember that when you are perusing blind items. Unless Shia gets some help soon it will not be long before he ends up in jail. It is inevitable. And I don't mean jail for something minor, I am talking some serious charges. Too much drinking, too much anger, too quick for violence.

Not to make excuses for him--he's responsible for his actions and getting help. But I think Shia's childhood was messed up, beyond being a kid in Hollywood. His parents seem to be three sheets to the wind, so to speak.

I think what is wrong with Shia is more then drinking and a temper. I think he is mentally ill and its all coming to a head now. The booze just makes it worse.

Shia is starting to remind me of the way my brother behaved when he was drinking and on pills. My brother just so happens to be named Shea actually.
I *almost* feel sorry for Shia. He seems really troubled for some reason.
To be honest, I'm not sure I believe this guy's story about Shia making a throat-slitting gesture towards him. That's a little much.
When will LaDouche's 15 minutes be over? He's got to be at 14 mins, 55 seconds by now, right?
@timebob, I agree, Enty is a lot less tight lipped with the blinds than he was pre-radio show, and I LOVE IT too!
Too much drinking, too much anger, and too quick for violence is exactly right. And the comments he made about his mother years ago give you a small peek into the results of his upbringing.

Another issue for Shia, is that he is SHORT. I work in an all-male industry, and let me tell you, some of the meanest, more aggressive and ill-tempered men are the short ones. There are exceptions, of course, but the "short guy syndrome" is real.
I remember reading an article when Holes came out where he was accused for awhile of being older than he really was. Like his mom added two or three years to his age for Even Stevens. Weird.
I can't believe Shia LeBoof is still making headlines for his substance abuse and personality disorders. Hasn't he been gone for like ten years now? Except for that one CGI film franchise, does he even exist? Should I be upset about him? Ugh.
He supposed told his girlfriend (Cary?) that the relationship only lasts as long as they're making the movie. He was right, then they split.
And he is really hot for his Mom. Calls her the most beautiful, hotest woman in the world.

Goes to jail for what? Being on the losing end of a fight? Being lied about?
Shia's path doesn't sound like it will end well, and worse, it sounds like he'll hurt someone badly. Unfortunately, you can't take someone off the street until the damage is done.
No "considered" opinion of the village elders to come to the rescue and maybe come up with a solution that protects all of us. We are, after all, a global community now.
I'm gonna wrap this into a couple of the preceding posts. When i lived in TX, the state couldn't take a child away from a parent until irreparable [sp?] damage had been done to a child. So there's a hierarchy of rights. Where does the cutoff on this slippery slope occur? Lohans -- When are the children damaged beyond repair? Is that fair to the children? Should an adult have superior rights to his/her child? Going back to the tragedy in Ohio yesterday: Should one person have the right to keep apex predators [living, sentient beings with complex needs] just because [s]he has the money to purchase them?
Yet we have to be so careful of infringing upon an individual's rights so as to avoid infringements based on some ruling class's sensitivies/beliefs. Do we have the sophistication/wisdom/unimpassioned mind set to do so?
From that video, I just assumed that guy was a good friend! Where were Shia's friends when this went down?
I'm getting so tired of people using the "oh but they had a warped childhood" card for these former child stars who go off the rails.
I would imagine that a lot of non-famous, productive members of society managed to get over the issues from childhood and not fall into the gutters.
And in fact, these people (Shia, Lindsey etc) have more money and therefore access to professional help than the "average" person, so there's really no excuse.
I will concede that these people are surrounded by sycophants whose job is to keep them happy and therefore working, and THAT, not their childhood, is the problem. The common thread with these cases (Michael Jackson included) is that there isn't someone telling the star no or acting in the star's best interests.
Also, could this guy not have gone to the police about him making threats?
I think the Shea guy was very over zealous in "helping" Shia. He was just doing it because Shia is famous. For the few incidences Shia's drunk antics have come to light, imagine all the one's that don't make it into the public eye.
