Which Wife?
Normally I would just give Ed O'Neil the top spot in the photos for his award of a star in the walk of fame. However, this is a very slow news day, so instead I thought I would take the opportunity of Ed posing with Katey Sagal and Sofia Vergara to ask the question, which wife do you like better. I have to go with Katey Sagal. As much as I love Modern Family, I think the vibe between Katey and Ed was amazing on Married With Children and when you see them now or in other roles you realize how good they were at those roles that have nothing in common with how they are in real life. Great actors. On a side note, Ed could have dressed a little nicer for the honor.

I love Katey, but I'd have to go with Sofia. She is so funny, and Sofia and Ed actually are believable as a couple on Modern Family!
I think it's cool when women are physically self-confident, but Sophia Vergara strikes me as the type of gal who *might* love herself a WEE BIT TOO MUCH. I'll bet she doesn't have many girlfriends.
I go for Katey: still WAY prettier than Peg Bundy in real life, and her demeanor just seems far more pleasant than Sophia's.
I like that Katey didn't try and "compete" with Sophia in how she dressed. She looks elegant, curvy, splendid and age appropriate. She could write a manual for all other ageing actresses. You don't have to look dumpy when your older but you also don't have to dress like a tramp to appear younger. So many of them would have tried to dress like Sophia. I guess that sounds mean, but hopefully ya'll understand what I am trying to say.

I'll go with both because I love Modern Family. I saw some of the speeches on the news last night and everyone was very funny. Ed said that his young daughter was the one who pushed him to get a star.
I love Modern Family and Sofia is great at her role, BUT...there is no contest between Katey and Sofia as actresses. Exhibit A, B, and C: Sons of Anarchy, Futurama, and Married with Children.
Katey all the way. Too bad Kelly and Bud couldn't be there.
I love that Al Bundy's life of fantasy has finally come true in the form of Jay Pritchett of Modern Family. It's like Al Bundy finally got the life of money, success, respect, young sexy wife who loves him, kids who aren't losers.
Katey Segal's talent is indisputable. But no one was more surprised than me to find that Sofia Vergara is more than a pretty face/hot body. I think she has impeccable comedic timing and skill. I doubt she has the dramatic range Katey has, but I still give her props. They could both win Emmy's this year, if the Emmy's had been smart enough to nominate Katey.
Forgot to mention that his star is in front of a DSW shoe store.

Katey is a great actress AND singer. She definitely is hot. Sure, Sofia is drop dead gorgeous, but there is something about the understated attractiveness that I like about Katey. Sofia is really "in your face" with her hottness. Not that that is a bad thing.
Wasn't Sophia the one whom Cruise tried to audition to be the next Mrs. prior to Katie and she ran for the hills as fast as she could? Maybe I have her confused with a different Sophia...
I love Sofia Vergara on Modern Family and I think she's hilarious on it, but Katey wins. She is a total BADASS HOT MAMA and I hope I grow up to be just like her!

I didn't get to see THAT much Married With Children b/c my mother would not let me watch it (so I had to sneak around to see it). But even with the bit that I saw and how much I LOVE Modern Family and Sofia....I go w/ Katey!
C'mon! Married with Children ran forever and was practically iconic.
Modern Family may be good but its not groundbreaking in the way that MWC was. (thought I do think its awesome that they have a married gay couple on mainstream tv) but still.
Plus, I also think Sofia V. is cool but so what? People always go gaga over a pretty woman who CAN actually do something. So she is a fairly good comedic actress who plays off a veteran actor like Ed O'Neil well. So what? Katy Sagal went straight up method with Peggy Bundy. More than half of Sofia's schtick is looking and being the much younger latina wife of Ed. eye roll.

@Jasmine - Good points! Honestly, I think part of the reason I love Sofia so much is because of that accent. Which is probably not a good reason to admire someone's acting skills!
