Gavin DeGraw Beaten And Hit By Cab
It is bad enough to get beat up by a bunch of a-holes after a night out, but when you try and flee and are stumbling and get hit by a cab, you know you are having an awful night. That is exactly what happened to Gavin DeGraw early yesterday morning. No one is sure what led to the attack, but what is clear is that DeGraw suffered a broken nose and other injuries and was admitted to the hospital. I think I have given away tickets to his shows on the site so he has definitely been good to the site and he is a great guy who definitely did not deserve a beating.

Just awful. Sending prayers his way for a quick recovery. I hope they get the rat bastards that beat him up.
This is terrible..I'm close to being heartbroken by the violence displayed by humans in this world nowadays. It's going to wind up destroying this planet...where there is no love there is no life.
Could Gavin Degraw be the Singer from that long blind item (European weekend), or is the timing off? I always assumed it was Duncan Sheik, but Enty does seem friendly with Gavin here...
According to that article, he is opening for Train who (IMHO) suck. Not that that has anything to do with his injuries...
Very sad. My husband's band has played at National Underground a number of times and says he's a great guy. Hoping for a swift, complete recovery.

working and living in NYC I can't tell you how much I loathe taxi drivers. They drive like maniacs to get to the next stop to pick up the next passenger. Its like yellow cockaroaches all over the city. My fantasy is Bloomberg bans taxis for life.
There is no reason to clog up the streets with taxis when there is perfectly good public transportation. I know the drivers are just trying to earn a living but it's too much sometimes.
Taxi drivers don't care. They drive like maniacs everywhere. They'll race to get to you but once you're inside their cab they'll be sure to slow waaaaay the hell down then.
...all the while talking to their girlfriend on their cell (now very much against the law in NY State, worth 3 points on your license and a serious fine.) Tell them to hang up the phone and they'll do it -- laughing and acting like they're doing you some big favor and you're over-reacting.
