Bombs, Oxycontin And Soundgarden

I really think Coheed and Cambria need to work on their concert riders to avoid any type of repeat incident like this happening. Over the weekend, the bassist for the band, Michael Todd, showed a bomb note to a pharmacist at Walgreens. The great thing about this note was that it was so 21st century. It was on a cell phone and he showed it to her on his phone. You know, right there next to his phone number.

Michael then demanded six bottles of Oxycontin and fled the scene. In a cab. Oh, and took the can directly to the show where his band was supposed to open for Soundgarden. Was he getting enough for everyone? Michael was arrested and bail was set at $10,000.

I was in a bad accident a few years ago and the er doc gave me a prescription for oxycontin. I told him to give me something else, I didn't feel like being robbed of my drugs in addition to the accident.

The ladies who live above me are addicted to OxyContin (or, "The O.C.", as they call it). It costs them 60 bucks a day. I was curious, so I asked.

Ummm...no thanks. My vices are much, MUCH cheaper.

$60 a day on pills...damn! That's 2 bottles of Rodney Strong right there plus a fuji apple AND a bag of ice!

It's too bad too, since the idiot probably could have gotten what he wanted from any of his fans at the venue. Moron. I haven't been able to figure out if they played without him or bailed him out? Anyone know?

I actually like C&C.

I can't image how lost, addicted, and messed up someone has to be to do this.

Hope after serving whatever sentence the law gives him, he gets help.

Opiate addictions ARE rough. It's tough to get off of them and stay off of them. Your head feels like it's going to implode, the rest of your body aches like you have the flu, and there's no way to get comfortable. It doesn't take much for someone in recovery to get right back into the addiction, too.
Six bottles of Oxy is a lot, though. I'm betting he was supplementing his money as a bassist in a minor-leagues band with his income as a drug dealer.

I quit painkillers after a car accident induced 7 year addiction. One year later its still hard. Every day. I had hand surgery for carpel tunnel last tuesday and I only took the painkillers until Thursday then flushed the rest down the toilet. My hand still hurts like hell but no way will I ever get used to those things again!! I'd rather feel pain and be alive then take them for pleasure and OD somewhere ( my worst fear ) !!

Coheed is one of my favorite bands and this sucks, especially for the employees who got robbed. They've kicked him off the tour.
