George Anthony And Vasco Thompson

So why was George Anthony making lots of calls to Vasco Thompson? The guy is a convicted felon who has served time for kidnapping. Anthony says he has no idea who the guy is, but cell phone records would seem to contradict that. Oh, and the only time they talked was during the time period when Caylee went missing. Even Nancy Grace could not really explain that stuff last night. She blew threw the rest of it, but her arguments about the Thompson thing were much less forceful. Today the defense gets their start in the case after the judge in the Casey Antony trial denied the defense motion for an acquittal. It is something you ask for, and except in books, I have never seen it actually work in a murder trial. What judge is going to say yes to that? Most of them are elected.

This should be an interesting next few days in the trial.

there's a similar phone number the guy was trying to reach. that is all. hell, i get calls quite often for a restaurant that's one digit off from my phone number.

this is a non-issue.

It's being reported that it's a mis-dialed phone number where George just transposed the numbers; he was trying to call his new employer. Goodness knows I've had my share of people repeatedly call my cell multiple times in a row even though I keep telling them they have the wrong number. And the defense already said that Caylee drowned, so why are they now trying to make it look like she was kidnapped?

Casey totally is guilty as hell. no one who is innocent creates a fake nanny, job and life. she didn't want the responsibility of Caylee, so she murders her and tries to make it look like a child abduction/murder. She would do all this because she hates/resents her mother so much, that she would murder Caylee before she would let Cindy raise her.

Enty is just playing devil's advocate.

Jose is in rare form this morning. Hey Jose... own goal, dude. Sit down.

From the summary I read, the convicted felon's phone number was like 1 number off from George's new work phone #.
I think Kasey did it on her own and I hope she rots in hell.

Enty is a lawyer, he wants to report all facts. Remember, that phone number is a fact.

Jose Baez just asked the FBI DNA expert if human bodies contain blood. This is the calibre of "facts" we've seen so far from the defense. Yikes!

they just spent an entire morning and half the afternoon on something that means absolutely nothing. degraded DNA, no usable information due to decomposition.

really coming out of the chute with a bang there, asshole.

I agree - it's just a mistaken phone call. Our number is one digit off of a car towing company that the major insurance companies use - we get a lot of 2 am calls - really nothing we can do about it.

Why would he need a kidnapper if it was an accidental drowning? LOL. And yes, most likely a wrong number.

Actually, my favorite Jose Baez comment was during the opening when he spelled out the defense strategy by saying, "there was no murder. There was no killing..." Umm, Jose - there was a dead body, so there WAS a killing.

Lol Sharon.

Shouldnt you stop dialing the wrong number after the first time, though=?

If Caylee accidentally drowned, why was there tape over her mouth with a heart sticker on it?

I just snorted imagining Enty watching Nancy Grace.

@Susan - Why don't you change your number??? That would make me looney.

My sister's old number used to be similar to a bingo hall called Mr. Bingo. :-/ Luckily, most of those calls weren't late night ones.

For some reason, "blew threw" struck me as a really funny phrase, lol. Sounds like a vomit fight or something.

If Enty is using Nancy Grace as his source for facts on the trial, no wonder some of his information is incorrect.

Gotta love those wrong numbers--when I was still living in scenic Athens, GA, the small law firm I worked for had a phone number 1 digit off the local Papa John's pizza joint, and we got their calls fairly often. One time the female partner happened to grab the phone: "_____, _____, ____ and ____!" Looooooong pause, and then... "Um...this isn't Papa John's pizza?" "We'll make you a pizza, but you'd hate to see our hourly rate!"
