Denise Richards Adopts
I was about to say if I was Denise Richards, but then stopped myself because there is no way on this earth I would want to be her. She had sex with Charlie Sheen. More than once. And then there was the whole Nikki Sixx thing and Richie Sambora. Not to mention whatever she was doing back in the day and a career that has seen way more canyons than tiny hills. I think we would all agree there have been no really high points in her career. But, if by some cruel twist of fate from a spiteful God, I was her, I think I would have waited until this whole Brooke and Charlie thing wrapped up before I went out and adopted a child. I am glad she adopted rather than get pregnant, but don't you think it might end up that Denise gets the twins from Brooke and Charlie? I get the feeling Brooke' parents are tired of raising them. Denise might be their only hope and then suddenly she will have gone from 2 to 3 to 5 kids plus a dad in a hurry.

I don't think that Denise would ever have custody of Charlie's other children. UNLESS she could get a TV show about raising them. Then, yes, she might pursue custody of them, which given that she has no relationship to them whatsoever, would be almost a legal impossibility even in LaLa Land. Brooke parents will keep the kids until Charlie's child support money runs out.
I'm pretty sure adoption isn't instant. You have to wait at least a few months.
I don't think she will end up with the twins, that would just be weird.
Then again, we are talking Sheen children though, so who knows.
Then they'll give them to Martin Sheen and his wife, or one of their other children. RJ is right, IMO.
In what universe would a responsible social worker/court approve adoption by a household that has *any* connection or contact with Charlie Sheen and is dependent on him for support?
She is very active in the Kidney Cancer community, and helps bring attention to the cause.
Being a *knockwood* nearly 3 year survivor, I am thankful for her doing that.
On another site, I read that the little girl's mother died from cancer, and I think it is a wonderful thing she has done.
Her kids look healthy and happy and I wish them all well.
Good for her. And no, I don't think she would get custody of the twins...sure, her daughters are their half siblings but she isn't related to them in any way.
I always knew Denise Richards had a heart of gold. I think she has kind of proved my point. She won't take the twins, they are not her problem in any way, shape or form.
Why are we still talking about Denise getting her ex-husband's kids with some other woman?? The idea is ludicrous. NOT HER RESPONSIBILITY.
Those little girls, while cute, definitely resemble Charlie a bit, especially the one on the left.

Denise offered and Charlie didn't turn her down.
Legally, she can not.
Unless the parents say yes.
If Brooke flakes, Charlie gets custody - and then Charlie gets in more trouble, he can let the kids stay with Denise.
Now there's a thousand other scenarios that should play out first, but this is not some huge
impossibility in that lifestyle.

Enty, just because Denise has a uterus and had the misfortune to have married Charlie doesn't mean she should be the obvious choice to adopt the Mueller-Sheen boys. Jeez. I TRULY don't understand your logic here.
I just hope Brooke has some boring, sane, chem-free sibling living somewhere in the Midwest who can take those twins.
@Cecilia - seriously? When did that happen? Never heard that, and would think a lot of her if she did. That child has a lot of grandparents, Denise should be a last resort.
@Cecelia -- that's pretty interesting. I'm honestly GLAD people who aren't related by blood can potentially adopt.
Speaking of adoption, good for Denise. She's beginning to grow on me, honestly.

Point is - if Charlie and Brooke need someone to care for the boys, and they want them with their sisters, they can appoint Denise their guardian legally.
The twins are her daughter's half siblings. I don't think it's that out there for her to take them and raise them together as a family.

I think Denise is a good Mom and if she wants to adopt it's a good thing. She has the means and seems to take good care of her kids. She isn't responsible for the twins and shouldn't wait to see if Charlie and Brooke fuck up again before she decides to have another child. She's already 40.

Brooke's only income is the $50,000 a month for the boys. She would cut her arm off before she gave up that kind of money to Denise. It is even in her divorce that she can never get less child support then Denise.
i just think it's weird that people seem to expect her to take brooke's twins.
if i had an ex-husband treat me the way charlie's treated denise, there's no way i would take on custody of his kids with his latest ex wife. it's a nice gesture, but it's not her responsibility. it's sad for brooke's kids, but the more time we fantasize about the ex-wife taking time, the less time the kids have to spend with an actual, healthy caregiver.
I'd imagine Denise's peak was from early 98 - early 2000. Wild Things, that 007 movie and Valentine (which pretty much ended her film career) for a good year and a half though, she was the "HOT" girl.
Now every article about her is always "Charlie Sheen's ex." She'll be called that the rest of her life.
Exactly right, Rose: why should Denise put her life on hold? Really, hasn't Charlie highjacked enough lives already?
good for denise w/ the adoption. she's pretty much a single parent so it can't be easy in a way, shape, or form. what does she do for a living now? i get that she's involved in charities and in being a good mom...but is she still an actress? kids ain't cheap.

I think it was around one of the last court dates for B/C. I don't remember if she showed up or had just made the offer but it wasnt accepted so did her duty and can move on. Besides, who is to say she wouldn't step up if the boys became wards of the state. Where is the outrage for Emilio or Martin and his wife to petition for them?
I honestly don't recall her ever offering. I'm not sure why she would, and I know it's not just me.
I'm with Rose, I'm shocked that Sheen's parents aren't making greater efforts. Brooke's parents are, but I'm not sure how much help SHE is.
Gang, I was wrong, her Mother lost her battle with cancer in 2007.

Noone goes out and adopts a child. It takes months, hell sometimes years.
I would think a lawyer (entertainment or not) would know that much.
I read that DR named the kid Eloise Joni. Joni for her mom and her girls picked Eloise so obviously this is a newborn without a name.

But if she is going to end up with the twins, why adopt another child? I mean would you want to get them moved in and acclimated before adopting another child? I don't know about that.
Denise has a good heart and once again I apologize for taking that scumbag Sheen's side in the past. I have always though Denise was one of the sexiest women in the world.

*shrug* Some commenters here even wanted to saddle Charlie's elder daughter with the twins.
I once was a Denise Richards disliker. The sleazy boyfriends, the coke on the beach photos, the gnarly sheen of Sheen, it was all too much. Then I watched her on Bravo's Watch It Live and I realized how charismatic and beautiful she is. If she's not on drugs, and if she's paying the bills and keeping a staff on hand to get things done, I'm all for her doing whatever she wants. She could be an awesome mother. She's certainly quick-witted, fun-loving and hasn't let life get her down. I guess it's time to come out of the closet and say, I really like her. (I hated her during that "complicado" show, though.)
