Charlie Sheen's Kids Removed By Police
This one is a tough one. On the one hand you have a guy who has been known to threaten lives of women and beat them and is a known drug user. On the other hand you have a woman who as recently as last week was willing to be part of a foursome with her ex-husband knowing there would also be drugs and booze and still went despite pretending to be clean and sober.
Yesterday Brooke Mueller got a restraining order against Charlie Sheen by stating in court papers that Charlie threatened her by saying, "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom." Because of that alleged threat, a Judge decided the kids should not be with Charlie...for now.
Here is what I think about the whole Charlie and Brooke thing. I think when Brooke started dating Charlie she probably did so by the hour and wanted to keep seeing Charlie so decided to try and keep up with him drinking and drugging and sex wise. She did so and she got pregnant and married but the drinking and drugging and sex thing was too much for her. They both got out of control and Charlie threatened to kill her. Meanwhile, while Charlie appears to be able to function as a drug addict and alcoholic, Brooke could not and has been battling sobriety every day since with a whole lot of slips. I think she is messed up permanently by her experience with Charlie and her life is in chaos. She thought it was her time to spend with the twins, it was not and she freaked out.
Honestly I don't think either one of them should be allowed to spend time alone with their kids. Charlie can't spend time alone with the kids he has with Denise, so why should these kids be any different. Anyone who has drugs, booze, and naked people in their home 24 hours a day is not really focused on the kids.

IF by any chance Charlie ends up Black Balled he will be going cold turkey - no drugs, no hookers, no gambling, no money.
I love how he has taken over and spread his crazy throughout Twitter in such a short period of time. Impressive for anyone, let alone someone as cracked out as Charlie.

I watched that 20/20 special last night and....I just don't know what to say about Charlie. On the one hand, he is actually very well spoken and you can tell he's quite intelligent. On the other hand, his well-strung-together sentences betray serious narcissism and disdain for the people around him.
I'm not sure if he's bi-polar, and frankly, this could just be Charlie...years of drug use can seriously mess with a person's brain chemistry over the long term.
Anyone else check out the twitter of one of his goddesses? The one who won "best anal" at the porn awards last year? It contains gems such as "The only thing that hurts more than anal sex is a day without anal sex." I ain't gonna hate on your personal sexual preferences, but I can't imagine the shit that's going on in that house. I don't know who should have those kids, but it's NOT Charlie and it's NOT Brooke.
If I am not mistaken Martin Sheen is Jewish or maybe his wife is? I have never known a Jewish person get blackballed. Michael Richards doesn't count because he is not Jewish by birth.
This situation is just beyond insanity right now.
I watched the 20/20 special last night. The entire thing is such a debacle. RQ - I agree with you. I couldn't get over how well spoken Charlie was. But he seemed just way off, almost possessed. It was so amazingly uncomfortable. I feel so badly for his children. Watch him knock up one of his goddesses and bring more children into his fucked up world.
It was striking to me that his home seemed so .... average. You would think it would be all tricked out, but it seemed really ordinary to me.
Honestly, Denise Richards is the only sane person in this mess, and that's saying something.
BM admitted she used drugs with one of the "goddesses" last week when they were away.
His home was not well decorated and the furnishing seemed sparse to me. But there is also a such thing as over decorating and just plain gaudiness.

RQ, I watched about the first half and then went to bed with a Seinfeld rerun. He looks bad and it was hard to look at him.
He made some statements that left me thinking this guy is brill and then the next second say something psycho.
He's a grown ass man and will do whatever he wants (like the two ladies), but I think they kids need to go to Grandmas. Didya catch when he said he doesn't see the girls much. Good for Denise.
Look, he thinks most people are stupid, un-evolved, clueless, and boring losers. He's a clever and charming Ego Head but so was Ted Bundy. Like he said last week, he unravels quickly and gets bored quickly. Let's see how long his "focus" lasts.
That freak and his two co-freaks do not need to be around any children ever. Period. He needs all parental rights stripped.
Denise Richards has been calling around (according to AGC) the media trying to get them not to print that Charlie is a crack head, and that the reason for his 20 pound weight loss is healthy living...
Guess she's scared the money will dry up.
The children might be better off in foster care, if you go to Radar online, it says Brooke was using when she was on the boat with Charlie and his harem.
I believe Brooke is in rehab now. It would say a lot if she didn't try to get custody but insisted he not have it either.

Actually I've been thinking the same thing.
Kids need to go way far away - and not to Grandma's either! That's one of the people responsible for this mess. Both Charlie and Brooke had questionable upbringing at best. Couldn't he at least have found a porn "star" that is smart enough to know how to make coffee?

@MISCH -- I've wondered that, too -- partly because some of their answers seem to go against popular consensus and just seem as if they're flat-out incorrect. I'll still check that site out of boredom every three months or so. They do a good job of compiling all the blinds.

I used to work in child welfare. What parents don't get is that when they point the finger at each other and make accusations of drug use and/or violence, I'm most likely to believe both of them. The kids go to relatives or foster care.
Nit pick. I thought Brooke and Charlie were married before the pregnancy. And the pregnancy would have been planned by both through in vitro. I can't imagine they just happened to have twin boys after Charlie had three daughters and publicly said he wanted a son.
In any case, neither one is in a position to parent those boys. Brooke's mom seems like the only one who would step in, but I don't like her or trust her motives. It's sad to think that there are thousands of couples who would do anything short of murder for the chance to raise those twins who are stuck with Charlie and Brooke.
He looked so creepy last nite, definitely a shell of his former self and it was more pronounced during the flashbacks to previous interviews. And his voice!! Reminded me of my elementary school janitor that chainsmoked camel nonfilters.

charlie sheen is bi-polar and in a manic state (obviously). brooke mueller has been a mess most her adult life, in and out of rehab for crack and meth at least 6 times, one being when she was 5m pregnant with the twins (which were conceived w/ fertility meds; she was trying to get pg before they were even married; meal tix). her drug problems were not as a result of keeping up w/ charlie, who, enty is right, was one of her tricks. he did think it was a match made in heaven - she was into his drugs, money and multi-partner sex. but, she is even more volatile and unstable. i actually think it is unfair of a court to strip custody rights without a hearing, especially to an admitted, using addict of a very serious narcotic. BM moved back in and went on a trip, all during the time she alleges CS was violent and threatening. that makes no sense (and please, this is not bc I support CS; I just do not support BM, nor believe her credible). CS needs help, as does BM, but I think CS actually takes better care of the kids, bc he has the right help in place to do so. and, so long as his current tricks aren't turning them in front of the kids, and the nannies are there (who, lets face it, are those boys' primary guardians anyhow), better that than w/ strung out BM or her mother that made the mess that is her daughter.

Seriously. Those girls have always looked SO insanely miserable. Like, from day one. Compare them to Kingston or Violet or the Jolie-Pitt kids. It's so telling.
About friggin' time they took those kids away. What took so long?
I don't think Denise, an ex-escort herself, is the right person to take custody, even temporarily, of the kids.
From the little I heard about Brooke's mother she seems like a moron. When Brooke was in re-hab her mother felt it important to announce that it was a facility for rich people. What does that even mean? They have luxury furnishings and a bigger pool?
I think Martin and his wife are the best choices, despite not doing such a hot job raising Charlie.
A few things:
1. I know Martin Sheen had his own substance abuse issues back in the day, but I don't think Charlie's problems are from bad parenting, considering that his 3 siblings haven't seemed to find the trouble that he has. i think that's just his personality.
2. I had heard the story about Charlie's birth before but had forgotten about it until he mentioned it in the interview. My theory is that that story probably illustrates more than anything why he is the way he is. He probably figures that since he managed to survive his birth that he might as well do as much as he can while he's alive and not worry about anything else.
3. I am always surprised that he doesn't experience as much anti-Latino sentiment and stereotyping with his behavior as other celebrities even though it's fairly well known that his dad is half-Spanish. (I'm a minority so it's a topic that interests me.) Do you all think that signifies some kind of progress in our society or just that people forget that Charlie Sheen's real name is Carlos Estevez?
I'm a little irked that #teamCharlie & #TigerBlood are trending topics. Why this guy is beloved by anyone is beyond me. He got a million followers in 24 hours. Here's hoping it's b/c the world has a sick obsession w/ seeing someone's downfall vs. people actually liking this a-hole.

I think ppl forget (like they do with mariah carey sometimes) and i think he 'passes' as not particularly ethnic so thats another reason no one mentiions it.
u know in hollywood its all about superficiality and surface looks are about as deep as ppl go when determining other's ethnic backgrounds
also- i dont know how strong Charlie is for latino rights- i dont think he has made a stance, like halle barry has, for a particular ethnicity's rights, so this may be another reason ppl forget

I saw the footage they shot when he put the kids in the car. One of them said, "Goodbye, Daddy." Awww. If he can't pull himself together for himself, he needs to do it for his kids. All of them.
PS, that is very interesting background on Brooke. I didn't know any of that. Cannot believe she would use during a much-wanted pregnancy.
Martin Sheen isn't half Spanish, he's half Mexican and any Spaniard will definitely tell you as much.
And I really don't see what Denise having been an escort years ago has to do with her ability to be a positive and nurturing caregiver for those boys. There are many horrible parents out there who have never turned a trick in their lives. Just saying, one really has nothing to do with the other.
Martin Sheen's dad emigrated from Spain and his mom came from Ireland. That sounds like half-Spanish to me.
