Lindsay Lohan Dress Sells Out

It probably was not the most appropriate thing to wear to court, but the tight white dress Lindsay Lohan wore to court the other day is turning out to be very popular. So popular in fact that the company who makes it and sells it for $575 is just about sold out. It is sold out everywhere online. The only place you can get the design called Glavis is from the designer herself. Who names a dress Glavis? I am just wondering if Lindsay got a piece of the action. It is the only reason I can think of why she would wear it.

Meanwhile, her lawyer has confirmed that if Lindsay is assured no jail time she will cop a plea to the felony grand theft charge. So, then does that mean Lindsay did steal the necklace even though yesterday she said she would never steal anything? I'm confused.

Did you read about Rihanna wanting to drop the restraining order against Chris Brown?

I'm guessing no bras were sold.

Am I the only one who thinks the dress in ugly? Aside from making you look like a giant marshmallow, it's boring.

How big of her that she "would consider a plea." And interesting that she thinks she's calling the shots.

If she pleads guilty and doesn't get jail time - I think that's a slap in the face to others who weren't afforded the same opportunity. It's about perception - it seems like she has gotten off lightly in the past because the prosecution/judges didn't want to seem as if they were treating her unfairly, but if she is allowed once again, to get off with a slap on the wrist, well, it seems like it will only reinforce her sense of invincibility.

Of course she stole the necklace, but she doesn't want to go to jail ... again. If a plea deal cannot be worked out, I do not look forward to a tabloid circus of a trial.

$575 is a lot for a white wear it once dress for someone with no money...

Now every designer is going to give her free clothing because of this, not sure if LL did this on purpose but if she did then she is alot smarter than I gave her credit for.

And if she goes to trial, she will need a new dress for every day. And jewels. And sunglasses. Oh, the humanity!

I don't think there's anything special about that dress. It's the fit and Lindsay's enormous tata's that make it.

Ugh, her boobs look horrible in that dress. Abort! Abort!

A plea with no jail time? Are they kidding? I hope they're kidding. She's being charged with a felony while on probation. Surely there has to be SOME form of jail time even with a plea. Like, it's California, so it'd probably be 48 hours, and she's be released at 6, but still, it'd be something.

Gimme one a them dresses! I want an unflattering bust-line and uncomfortably high neckline too!

Shocking. Lohan's going to thumb her nose at the legal system YET AGAIN. I have no doubts this broad will never see hard time and it disgusts me.

Enty, you're a lawyer so you must know about "North Carolina v. Alford" which states that a person can plead guilty to something they did not do if they feel the consequences of a conviction at trial would be worse than the plea deal they worked out. I do nothing but criminal law, and have had dozens and dozens of client enter Alford Pleas.

The dress looks like something Britney would wear, wich about says it all...

she looks like a cheap, truck stop hooker on her wedding day.

Can we petition the DA's office not to give this waste a deal?

OMG...she is going to walk. I can't believe it.

That plea is such bullshit. Any other person with her criminal record would be going away for a long time. Hell, they would have already been locked up for all their other DUIs and probation violations. I honestly cannot understand why she keeps being given so many chances to arrogantly prove what a fuck up she is.

It's like Martha Stewart's prison poncho..

Hey, at least Martha did her time...would that Lindsay would do hers for once. I don't know if it would even work in terms of smacking some sense into her, but it's worth a try.

Also, that really is a terribly unflattering dress, and I can't imagine why so many people suddenly want it--high round neckline + white textured fabric + big boobs w/no bra = fashion FAIL. (My guess is that she's not wearing any underwear of any kind under that dress, which kicks up the ick nast factor tenfold.)

agree Robin...It looks like a dress version of an old lady basket-weave type shirt.

Consider this: The judge in her probation case said if she screwed up, she would go to jail.

So even if she gets a plea with no time in THIS case, she goes to jail.

Feel better now?

@obitguy: Don't know what you're talking about, but an Alford plea is when someone admits the government has enough evidence that's likely to result in a conviction, regardless of whether they admit guilt. It doesn't have anything to do with sentencing or plea offer. It's like a "no contest" plea.

mooshki said...

nunaurbiz, let's hope the judge sticks to that!

I think in this case, the DA was right to do the plea - with the weirdness on the store's part, they probably didn't have a great case against her.

I would like to know how people figured out who the dress designer even was. I would never have known except by reading it everywhere after the fact that it sold out.
