Star Magazine Cracks Me Up

In the new issue of Star, they make it seem like Michael Douglas is dying from his throat cancer, but before he dies, he wants to make Catherine Zeta Jones pregnant. They call it is final gift. Yeah, I'm sure Catherine would love to have a baby with a guy who, according to Star, is probably dying. They already have two children together. If what they say about Michael dying is true do you think Catherine would want to have a baby with a father the baby would never know?

Would you want a baby in similar circumstances? I could see it if they did not already have two kids, so there would be a piece of the father still alive, but I don't see it here. Am I wrong? I know she can afford to raise as many kids as they could possibly have, but isn't raising a child something you would want to do with that person you love?

  1. I just want to know what is Catherine Zeta Jones actual age. No way did she JUST turn 40.

  2. I know timebob, I was going to say, "I'd say 'no' not to mention they are both old as dirt."

  3. Unless they plan to use a surrogate or adopt, I don't think it's even possible. She may say she's 40, but the womb is 50.

I can't help but feel badly for Michael.

  4. There was a blind about a couple invited to the White House for an event...and her Passport info could not be verified...even her husband didn't know her true age...she was the top guess...how old she really is...who knows..

  5. Is there publicity involved?
Will it keep her career going?
If so, I'll bet the fertility specialist is on speed dial.

  6. I often wonder where they come up with these stories. Do you think they just sit around, pick a celeb that people are thinking about (Douglas) and build a false story around that? What a job.

  7. Not to be crass, but having gone through probate with my dad dying with an outdated will, if I were here, I would like his final gift to be proper estate papers! :-D

  8. Well, she looks pretty good for 50.

  9. She is still a gorgeous woman, and I hope the rumors are false that he is dying. Not ready to let go of one of the last true actors...Pitt is a joke.

Also, no, she would not be interested in being pregnant. She can't find husband #2 (Bill Gates, Leo DiCaprio, or Viggo Mortensen) if she is knocked up.

  10. Oliver Stone came out recently saying Michael Douglas's health situation is "precarious." Separate from the Star of National Enquirer etc. Just a head's up.

  11. How could she travel if her passport cannot be verified? Weren't they both in Europe recently?

  12. Her body has changed dramatically in the last year. She used to be pretty curvy, and now she is stick skinny. I don't know if that is her trying to look young, or what.

  13. Oops sorry...The age difference between the passport and the drivers license.
And I would love to know how she did that also...

  14. I don't know jack about inheritance laws but does Michael's kid from his first marriage get a chunk of his estate? If they are dividing it up like a pie, another kid would get CZJ control of another wedge of MD's enormous estate.

  15. RQ, i'm w/ you...i think surely they do that, teamed w/ which celeb they're pissed at for ignoring them or cutting them off in traffic.

  16. Okay, honestly...people need to pay attention to this. Michael Douglas has Stage 4 cancer...there is no Stage 5--stage 4 means it's spread beyond the original primary and is growing in other parts of the body....so he is, in fact, dying. Or, at the very least, terminal.

I really wish people would leave him alone at the moment.

  17. @MISCH
Different ages aren't that hard to pull off.
Trust me on that...my mother had 4 different ages and maintained them for years.
There was the age the government thought she was, the age she told her Dr she was, the age she admitted to, and finally, her real age, which didn't come to light until her death.
So, if a little Jewish woman from Atlanta with no connections can pull that off, I'm sure someone like CZJ can be any age she wants.

  18. yes i would want a baby in similar circumstances because i think my bf is amazing and the baby would be amazing but if it was going to be a girl and would come out like me than "bring me a knitting needle!" bwahaha

  19. I am with Merlin. It's not that hard to pull off my nana lied about her age told everyone she was about 15yrs younger then she was so she could get a better job and up her social security wages.

I don't think anyone but family knew how old she really was until just before her death.

  20. @Merlin & @ardleigh - Crazy stories!

And I'm also with @Majik on how serious this cancer is. I honestly don't think he'll be with us much longer.

And NO i do not believe the baby story.

I actually did know a couple that went through these circumstances, but the husband was in his 20's...so a little different.

  21. The most obvious part of this story being bullshit is....Michael is on all sorts of chemo and radiation right now. Not to be cruel but it's true...he couldn't get it up if he wanted to right now let alone make any kind of deposit...in her or a cup. My boyfriend has had cancer twice. Trust me...it ain't happening unless he had stuff stored away.
Oh and CZJ is full of shit on her age but she does look good. It's a shame that she won't cop to her real age.

  22. One more "age" story.... seems that Charo (the original hootchie cootchie chica) went before a judge some years ago to have her birth certificate adjusted.
She had like 10+ years removed - the funny thing is that this would have made her like 8 or 9 years old at the time of her marriage to Xavier Cugat.

  23. How on earth can someone justify removing time off their birth certificate and getting it approved by a judge like that? I don't get it.
