BuzzFoto Blind Item
He’s talented, he’s handsome, and everyone wants him in their films because this B list Actor is fast on his way to the top. He seems to have everything- a gorgeous wife and children and an amazing career, but we hear behind the scenes things are completely different. When the cameras are off he’s stubborn, verbally abusive, reckless with his spending and habits (including porn and alcohol) and he’s self righteous about politics and religion. His poor wife struggles with depression which he writes off as ‘character weakness’ and blames his son’s ADHD on his wife’s ‘poor parenting.’ He’s definitely not the man everyone thinks he is.
Dang, if not for the married with kids part, I would've sworn this pointed towards B-Coop.
ReplyDeleteI have not other guess besides, sadly, Mark Wahlberg?
If it's Wahlberg....why so many kids...and everyone knows he cheats. And I still think Coop is gay !
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I'd call Wahlberg A list. And I think everyone already knows he's a prick. Of course, I don't have a better guess.
ReplyDeleteI'd hate for it to be him, but Will Smith?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't think it's Will Smith since Jada seems to be the one that wears the pants in the house LOL. With that face of her's you know she is the BOSS LOLOL.
ReplyDeleteWill Smith is A list for sure. Mark Wahlberg is a good guess.
ReplyDeleteI had a few names come to mind, but they may be missing one of the qualifiers:
ReplyDeleteSteve Carrell? (would we consider him handsome? - )
Hugh Jackman? (is he wife gorgeous?)
Can't think of anyone else at the moment.
This is someone who is on their way to the top. They haven't quite made it there yet. Everyone being mentioned is already pretty established in the industry.
ReplyDeleteStill no guess who though.
These guesses all seem a bit dated so far. I think it's someone up and coming.
ReplyDelete@Lady J - That's my feeling. It's someone who is more of a "comer," but for some reason, all the people I can think of are "already there." Frustrating!
ReplyDelete@Lady J: Haha! You beat me to it. I get a Channing Tatum vibe off this post, but I don't think he has any kids.
ReplyDeleteHow about Peter Facinelli?
ReplyDeletesooo... a hot up and coming actor, b-list for now, that everyone wants in their films. he has a wife (gorgeous) and kids.
ReplyDeletethe wife and kids thing should help narrow it down right? most up and coming actors are single....
only thing is, most of the people who fit this blind are already really established.
hhmmm. who is up and coming?
sam worthington (no kids, no wife)
chris pine
bradley cooper (may have already arrived)
robert pattinson (dont kill the messenger!)
zach q. (gay, right?)
alex s from true blood
stephen moyer, true blood? maybe? he has kids...
and so many more, but none are married or have kids!
Not Peter Facinelli- he and Jenny Garth only have daughters, and the blind specifically says "son".
ReplyDeleteI agree that both Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith are both more than "B list" and "fast on his way to the top." They both have Oscar noms and seriously successful films under them.
I can't think of who this might be- everyone I think of is off by at least one element.
Casey Affleck?
ReplyDeleteLittle Miss Smoke and Mirrors - PF & Jennie Garth only have daughters.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a strong Scientology vibe off this. Calling depression a "character weakness", blaming ADHD on parenting and being self righteous about religion would all fit with what I know of the standard Scientology mindset.
ReplyDeleteOf course with Mel Gibson as a recent example they hardly have a monopoly on those qualities but it could be a place to start.
Paul Rudd?
ReplyDeleteJohn Hamm?
ReplyDeleteAlthough, i can never remember if he is married to Jennifer Westfeldt and I have no idea if they have a child.
@FluffyElmo
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a Scientology vibe too... The only b-list scientologist actors I can think of are:
Jason Lee - Married with one son frmo a previous marriage (Pilot Inspektor!!)
Giovanni Ribisi - Divorced (good, I love him and this would make me sad)
I hate to even suggest this becuase it's blasphemous, but what about Paul Rudd? No, I take it back, I love him too much!
ReplyDeleteOK- So I saw Jon Hamm is NOT married, so he's out.
ReplyDeleteThis is driving me nuts.
Jon Hamm unmarried, no kids.
ReplyDeleteI like the Paul Rudd guess.
Also, Mark Ruffalo is married, has a son, is B-list, works a lot.
I like the Casey Affleck guess. He's vegan and a couple of vegans I know can be a little self-righteous about health & nutrition matters. He's also a big supporter of PETA which holds fairly strong political views.
ReplyDeleteThen again I'm not sure if he's 'fast on his way to the top' though. Also given the sexual harassment allegations & the new movie he has coming out I don't think he's viewed as an especially nice guy?
I'm back to trawling through Scientologists I guess:)
This guys has 2 children, 1 a son. I see Mark Ruffalo as a big Dick. Paul Rudd is a puppy dog, and sweatheart. Don't know if he has 2 kids though. Casey Affleck looks like a dick too.
ReplyDeleteCharacter Weakness for Mental Illness is usually a Cult. Pretty much straight up the Cult Definition for Mental Illness.
Mark Ruffalo
ReplyDeleteJames MacAvoy
I thought of MacAvoy but he had his first child in 2010 which wouldn't fit.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWhat is with me and always writing the wrong name? James Marsden.
ReplyDeleteHottie, wife and 2 kids, up-and-comer. Also has a smile that would make you think he's the nicest guy in the world.
Does Cillian Murphy count as handsome? Certainly been in a lot of movies lately. Pretty wife & two sons. Raised Catholic, now atheist...could be obnoxious about it. Politically involved.
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cillian_Murphy#Personal_life
How about Paul Bettany. Married to Jennifer Connelly. They have a stepson and a new baby boy together.
ReplyDeletei think cillian murphy is repulsive. he creeps me out. but he has done a lot of work lately.
ReplyDeleteruffalo isn't political, is he? i like him so i don't want it to be him.
Simon Baker popped into my head. Don't know why.
ReplyDeletePaul Bettany? Describes himself as a fantaical atheist. See here. And Jennifer Connelly had that major weight loss, which Bettany said was because of grief over her father's death.
ReplyDeleteMark Ruffalo has a son born 2001 and 2 daughters. He is also a vegetarian. I hope it's not him, but some of the clues fit.
ReplyDeleteRuffalo or Rudd for up and comers. Not sure about Rudd's and kids. Hate for it to be either of them.
ReplyDeleteI am also a veg*n (not self-righteous either, I don't think), and just for the record, my viewpoints on what I put into my body are different from my viewpoints on politics and religion.
ReplyDeleteI dunno about Wahlberg being A List YET. He is not an Oscar winner and has not opened a movie all by himself and has not been in a franchise movie series. So I'd say he is B+ and on the WAY to A list. Case in point, the new Will Ferrell movie he's in. Getting a lot of work but not a huge star in his own right opening films all by himself like (the actor I most liken him to) Matt Damon does. JMO.
ReplyDelete@Trinnean I was thinking James Marsden too and was going to search to see if he was married and has kids. Since he does this is my guess. Otherwise I am going to be really sad if this is Mark Ruffalo.
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is, he's driving down Mel Gibson highway.
ReplyDeleteno way it's paul rudd, he was on freakin sesame street as planet earth!
ReplyDeletewould paul bettany be 'handsome'? i would say no and i like the nerdy, lanky men. and, based on the clues, seems like his wife isn't in the biz, probably would say 'gorgeous actress wife.'
who has a big movie (or two) coming out? especially who has one coming out that has been slowly rising, playing second fiddle for a while?
I'm thinking Paul Rudd or the guy from "The Kids are Going to Be Alright"
ReplyDeleteOne of those good-looking feel-good early-40's guys.
yeah, Mark Ruffalo - that's who I meant too. Him or Paul Rudd
ReplyDeleteHEY!!! I guessed those two without reading your comments - looks like I'm on track.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Rudd or Ruffalo FTW
ok i am liking the marsden guess and the simon baker guess.
ReplyDeleteeverything i have ever heard about ruffalo- esp stuff enty has said - is that he really is extremely nice.
I think it could be Timothy Olyphant. Married, 5 or 6 kids, up and comer.
ReplyDeletePatrick Dempsey
ReplyDeleteTimothy Olyphant fits the bill much better than Rudd and Ruffalo, who've both been in movies for donkey's years.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I was dreading the Olyphant guess. Please, say it ain't so!
ReplyDeletePlease not Olyphant. :( It would make me very sad to think he was a d*ckhead.
ReplyDeleteChristian Bale?
ReplyDelete@awesome balla: You're kidding, right? Cos Paul Bettany ain't married to a nobody.
ReplyDeleteHey, guys, remember me? The reader who hung with Mark Ruffalo at Sundance? It ain't him.
My first thought was Paul Rudd. DK if his wife is gorgeous, but they do have a son and he seems to be in every other movie.
Paul and his wife:

I saw a taping of one of Kevin Smith's talks. He talks about working with Olyphant. In fact, he nicknamed him Olyphantastic. If I recall correctly, it's because he thought quite highly of himself and was a general pain in the tookus.
ReplyDeleteDo with this info what you will.
Please not Paul Rudd I love him. He seems so sweet.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Joel McHale. Definitely up-and-coming. On a hit network show, and another hit cable show. Parent of two boys. I really like him, but I can see him being like this.
ReplyDeleteCome on now, this has to be someone in their 20s; probably what Mel Gibson was like 30 years ago.
ReplyDeletePatrick Dempsey??! (hope not!)
ReplyDeleteI, too, thought Patrick Dempsey. Not sure if he has done enough movies to fit this, though.
ReplyDeletenot patrick dempsey. his oldest is a girl and his twins are not nearly old enough to be diagnosed with adhd.
ReplyDeleteI think Mark Ruffalo, because he is in The Kids Are Alright and it is a critical hit.
ReplyDeleteI don't consider Paul or Mark as up and comers....but I have no good guesses. I feel like people already mentioned are already well established. Except maybe Joel McHale.....
