#2 Sade? Born 1959. She was on The View a few weeks ago promoting her new album. She sounded NASTY live. I was very dissapointed. Haven't seen her promoting since, which is odd since they usually do a circuit of promos.

I was gonna say Sade. I can't think of another 50something who has been making the morning show rounds other than her. Her speaking voice is demonically low & heavy. She seems like she could potentially "explode" on people. Still love her, though.

Sade is a great guess bc she's not a natural talent, very manipulated vocals in the studio. Without that, she can't hold a tune.
