David Letterman Apologizes To His Wife
David Letterman took time out in his monologue last night to apologize to his wife and his employees. All weekend long new revelations about his affairs were released and they just don't seem to stop. I can't imagine what his wife is going through and if I were her I wouldn't even want to leave my house. Plus, their son is in school now so I wonder if he hears anything about the whole thing. I also think this is going to be drawn out over sometime because of the trial that will take place. This isn't going to go away in 24 hours but will return every month or so for the next year.

TIRED of this - who cares....really ? Not me - i mean is anyone shocked someone used their position of authority and slept with his employees ? Really ?
I know Dave is a funny guy, that's how he makes his living. But I think he sounds disrespectful of his wife by joking about it all the time. I'm sure Regina isn't laughing. She is probably so hurt and humiliated that his joking about it might be making it worse for her. He sounds like he is trying to stay likable and save his ass and is not taking anyone else's feelings into account.
What a douche bag. Since he had these affairs for like ten or 15 years it seems he's only sorry about getting caught. He treats people like shit and women like whores. His wife should take the money and run.
dave didn't get married a second time for like 30 years. he's a notorious commitment-phobe by his own admission.
i've always thought the birth of his son is what made him decide it was time to marry regina. but she knew him for over 20 years. i'd be very surprised if she didn't know there was at least a chance dave would mess around on her.
i hope they can get past this. he did all he could---he got in front of the story and now, he's continuing to be honest about it and make jokes at his own expense on the show.
what else can he do?
I think there is way more to this story than Dave is telling.
This is going to get ugly. I think that there must be some scary secrets and serious shit beyond his having sex with employees.

I don't know if it was just part of his act, but I recall him talking on his show about getting married. He made it sound like she laid down the law -- either marry her, or it was over.
Something tells me his wife knew he was messing around, and it wasn't a matter of just getting married, but getting married and keeping it in his pants from that point forward.
I don't believe his wife was in the dark. Can we just look at his conduct since he married her? I hope she's doing the same.
when did he and regina get married? wasn't it just a couple of years ago?

yes, so far, all these relationships have been before he married so i dont really see anything wrong. i doubt that she didnt know what the story was being with him for so many years and him not wanting to get married.
and i think he handled this smart. it was coming out; might as well be the one making the jokes about it.

He's not wearing a wedding ring in that clip but I don't recall if he wore one previously.
I heard his ratins were up with over 30%... Hm.
