I Want Celebrity Hell's Kitchen

I don't know what it is about UK celebrities but they are always up for any kind of reality show no matter what. Yeah, Keira Knightley and Jude Law aren't going to do them, but who really cares about them anyway. The person that really matters, and that very few people are even going to know is that the celebrity most likely to win Celebrity Hell's Kitchen according to bookmakers is none other than Adrian Edmondson. Yes, I know many of you are scratching your heads and asking who Adrian is, and I don't blame you. You probably don't know him but he was on this great UK show which MTV imported back in the day called The Young Ones. Adrian played a punk rocker named Vyvyan.

Well he has been making his living as comic and has been on other British television shows and is the favorite to beat everyone else on the show. The second favorite is Miss Dynamite. The celebrity version of Hell's Kitchen doesn't have Gordon Ramsay as the host. It has Marco Pierre White. The show lasts two weeks, but I don't know if they stretch out the two weeks of filming into 8 weeks of shows, or if they just make everyone watch it every night like I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

I would love to have a celebrity version of Hell's Kitchen in the US. I want every celebrity who has ever said they cook at home for their families to come on television and show they actually do. All of these creative dishes they make and all their supposed recipes. Put them in the damn kitchen and see how many are lying.

Which one do you think Gwyneth would get herself kicked off of more quickly - the US version or the UK version? I figure she would qualify to get her comeuppance on either one.

Loved The Young Ones!
I watched "the Chopping Block" the other night, Marco Pierre White's US version of Hell's Kitchen. I don't like him. He's kind of pompous. But, he is also the only person that has ever made Gordon Ramsay cry in the kitchen. So, I guess he deserves some kind of prop for that.

The Young Ones was one of the best tv shows ever.

Oh who do I bribe to see this? I have been in love with Ade Edmondson since I was in high school! Such a wonderfully funny man. And he cooks too? Jennifer Saunders is the luckiest woman...

I bet HE is the Adrian that comments on Mischa Barton's blog.
Thank goodness we cleared THAT up.

I bought my mom the whole Young One's series on VHS a looooooong time ago as "her" christmas gift. I don't think she ever watched it, but I sure as heck did. Over and over and over again.

Oh, I fucking LOVED The Young Ones. I had a co-worker who could do a brilliant impression of Neil. My personal fave was spaz Rick.

That would be GREAT. And then all of us true home cooks could laugh at their stupid asses.

Oh, Young Ones. I LOVED this show, and I'm such a dork that I have the dvd boxed set. (P)Rick was my favorite, too.

I have a guy named Neil in my life and I call him "Neeole", as it should be pronounced. Heh.

This post made my day, Enty. xoxo

lol. Thing is, Adrian certainly wouldn't be doing it for the money or fame - things both him and his lovely wife have got in spades!

Good on him, i hope he wins. And yeah i'd REALLY like to see Gwyneth try and cook her "i prefer mine steamed" oyster recipe...

Vyvyan!! You know I don't know who your father is!!! I don't know why but that is the one line that I've always remembered from that show. That show fuckin' ruled.

That's the one I remember Rick "The People's Poet" wailing after he thought he "killed the hippie".

Yep he's married to JS. Don't know how Enty missed putting that in his post. :)

Forgot to add as Cooper's Mom said he sure as hell wouldn't be doing it for fame, etc. I think he's doing the show more of to take the piss out of what he and Jennifer have been doing for all the years, the idea of reality shows and celebrity, etc.

The two couldn't be more away from living the fame life, etc. You could throw in Dawn and Lenny there too.

GEE-do'ya think Seth McFarlane channels Rick when he's voicing Stewie?
I LLUVVED Young Ones in the early 80's on MTV before I had a VCR worked 3rd shift and risked being late for work just to catch the 1030pm show on Sunday nights didn't they have puppets talking as rotting food?

@ Bionic Bunny!---I knew some day my good name would be cleared.
