We're Divorcing?
I hate divorce. I really do. It sucks for everyone involved unless you are married to Denise Richards. Then, it is like a release from death. Of course, that feeling only lasts for about a day, and then you realize that she is going to be even worse after the marriage. Anyway. After six divorces and some breakups that didn't result in a trip to the drive through chapel in Vegas, I can say for sure one very important thing. Both of us knew a divorce was coming.
You don't just go through life and smile pretty and then one day kiss each other goodbye in the morning and one of you goes and files for divorce. It doesn't happen that way. OK, I take that back. It has happened one time that I remember in the history of celebrity relationships. When Billy Bob left Laura Dern she thought everything was fine and was shocked he didn't come back. Still though, even in that case, there must have been some phone calls or something after he left which indicated that perhaps he would not be coming back.
So, when I read that Debbie Matenopoulos first learned about her husband filing for divorce from internet reports, I said to myself that is a bunch of crap, and she must not have very many friends. If you were Debbie's friend and you saw the report, don't you think you might pick up the phone and give her a call? A little hug over the phone?

So, obviously there were problems. From what I understand, her husband wanted no part of working out Debbie's particular issue. I think she was more upset by the fact that she couldn't have done it before him or had a statement ready rather than the fact he did it. She doesn't say she is sad they are divorcing, only that she is sad she found out about it online. Read it carefully. She wanted to control the spin. I think he was just tired of being spun.

Hmmm, she's skinny, talks non-stop, shakes her head around too much, and is generally annoying as hell.
I don't think we can put all the blame on E!
well they have been separated since March so that may be a good indication he's not coming back

i think it was the eating issues.. causes bad breath etc.

Here is a THE sticking point that I have with Angelina Jolie. Much more interesting. Laura Dern. The anti-Aniston if you will. See she, Angie, blantantly cheated with Billy Bob. Yup, no denying it, ass out, ran off with someone's finace. Ran off to Vegas married him kinda cheating. Then she did it again with Brad Pitt.
Yes, I know there was trouble in the relationship. Were they separated when he began banging Angie, almost certainly no. If that were me, there would have been a police report. Guaranteed.
My point, Angie cheats. She denies it, all of it, which makes her well a man stealing home wreckering whore. Flat out. Will she do it again? A 'cheetah' can't change their spots.
Debbie works for E! it's a gossip show! How ironic that the woman who really works for the tabloids didn't know about her own divorce.
Gee Debbie so much for getting the gossip before everyone else.
IF she really didn't know I guess her husband outsmarted her.
Maybe it's time for Debbie to change jobs.

When she was on The View she was horrifically annoying beyond belief and an embarrassment to the "20-somethings" she was supposed to represent on that show (a woman to represent each generation).
Few people are completely clueless when a breakup occurs -- completely in denial, yes, but otherwise, no.
I agree Grace. Debbie was far worse than Hasselbeck. While I don't agree with Hasselbeck on anything, at least she has an opinion (spoon-fed, but it's an opinion). Debbie was just a dunce, E!/TVGuide is the prefect place for her.

Debbie looks like death with a pretty weave. She and Rachel Zoe could be long-lost sisters; the pencil-thin bodies, obviously coke-crazy, haven't eaten in the last 5 years, etc. (On a positive note, they are both fashionable little pipe-cleaners). Wonder if Debbie has started trying something new that freaked her hubby out. And does anyone remember the weird incident of them both landing in the ER on New Year's Eve; she from an allergic reaction that caused her face to swell and he for some other, similarly odd reason?? WTF is up with those two anyway? OH well, guess we'll never know....unless they plan on getting ugly with it and someone writes a tell all or starts calling Page Six on the regular!!!

I know several people whose spouses "surprised" them with a divorce. No hints beforehand, they never saw it coming. One guy admitted that he planned it so that it would inflict as much pain as possible. Bastid.
i don't think debbie is straight anyway, so this is good for her.
and as dumb as she was on the view, whenever she talked about her greek heritage, she was always bright and interesting. she should do something with that.
Eeny Beeny, it happened to a friend of mine as well. Her husband just walked up to her one day and said their marriage was over, with no previous hints that he was considering divorce. It blindsided her. Assholes.
i find her kinda sexy... at least in a bangable way
