Anne Doesn't Know Brody
I'm not sure exactly who Anne Hathaway has as friends. I mean, I guess she must have some that don't actually work for her or owe her something which causes them to be friends. But, in an interview she started discussing the fact that her friends read the tabloids and then are calling her up and asking her about all the people she is allegedly dating.
"I don't look at gossip magazines and websites, but my friends do and they call me out of the blue and ask me if I'm dating someone.
So, are you saying you are better than your "friends" because they happen to love some good gossip and you don't? If they are your friends, you would think they would know who you are dating or if you have dated someone. I don't know. Anne just doesn't seem like the person who has lots of friends who are calling her. I think she has a couple of people she usually ignores, but if she is feeling lonely she might pick up the phone. She just doesn't seem the type to just talk about the opposite sex, or in her case, the same sex with any of her friends.
"Apparently I've dated Josh Lucas, Brody Jenner - I didn't know who he was - and of course there's the rumour that I'm dating Emily Blunt."
Oh Brody. That has to hurt right? She didn't even know who you were. Wow. Well, it isn't like she knows who I am either, but of course I haven't spent the past several years trying to show my face and get my name out to the entire world either. Guess that really isn't working for you. I'm hoping that Josh Lucas wouldn't actually date her because I really like him, and would hate to start trashing him because of who he is dating. As for Emily Blunt. I could see that. Apparently her friends could as well or they wouldn't call you and ask you about her. They would have just asked you about the guys, so they must think you are capable of doing that particular dance.
I know many of you like Anne, but for some reason she rubs me the wrong way. My feelings are not so long gone they cannot be changed like Denise Richards or Kim Kardashian, but she needs to do something which makes me think she can be somewhat human.

No, I agree with you, Enty. She got all weird after she did The Devil Wears Prada ... I kind of wondered if it had something to do with Emily Blunt getting more acclaim for the movie. And yeah, I agree that the way she phrases these things makes it sound like she's too good for gossip or knowing what's going on outside her own little bubble.
I agree Ent, there is something up with Hathaway. It's even worse now she's got the spotlight.
Tell me though peeps- is there truth to these gay rumours, or just boredom? She's not even that interesting, but I'm hearing it said all over the place and yet...can't see it!
I like her as an actress, but otherwise, meh! She isn't all that interesting.

I'm with quints. Anne doesn't bother me more than the fact that she seems a little stuck up. I blame that on the Disney upbringing. No reason to hate on uptight people.
She seemed to laugh off the Emily Blunt thing on Letterman (though it did get Dave thinking).
I thought she did great on Saturday Night Live. Her Mary Poppins impression was spit-spot! I also liked how she joked about herself in her opening monologue. I also hear her performance in her upcoming movie is getting a lot of Oscar talk.
I'm actually beginning to actually like her.

I have never been a huge fan of her. To be honest i never saw the appeal, to me she looks like a blow up doll half the time.
And has the personality of one.
She definitely has an air of arrogance about her. I totally see what Enty is saying. Even on SNL the other night, her arrogance was there. She reminds me of this girl I work with who can be a total bitch with a smile on her face.
I think she's not so bad, but she (or her minders) are too sensitive to tabloid rumors. She seems to come off as defensive while trying to appear as if she doesn't care about any of it.
Of course, if I had so many people talking about me all of the time, I'd get kind of edgy too.
I had a friend of a friend who went to high school with her and said she was always a raving bitch. I do like her as an actress, though. Heather M. is out and proud, and the two of them did seem to be awfully close after Princess Diaries 1.
