Get Better Naomi Campbell
99% of the time a celebrity could be in a hospital and I won't post anything about it, but since I started writing this blog, Naomi Campbell has kind of grown on me and so in addition to wondering what kind of infection she has that would lay her up in a Brazilian hospital for three days, I am also concerned for her well being. I hate hospitals. Hate them, hate them, hate them. To be in a hospital in a country foreign to you while suffering from this horrible infection would be even worse.
As much as Naomi is Ms. Temper, somehow I think she is probably being a little more calm and respectful right now. Fox News says Naomi has been seen by an infectious disease specialist. Of course Fox News also says she has been in Brazil for the past several weeks which would be tough considering she was in Milan on the 20th and London on the 12th so the whole story might be a bunch of crap. Basically, IF Fox is right about the three days in the hospital, she would have left Milan the 20th or 21st, flew to Brazil, spent one night out and about and then been in the hospital since.
Fox also says she is the guest of Marcus Elias who is a Brazilian billionaire. I doubt somehow that he is spending too much time by her bedside in the hospital. I think he probably had a different bed in mind when he wanted to spend time with her.
So, if Naomi is in the hospital, then I hope all is well. These super infections scare the crap out of me. If she is sitting by the pool with Marcus, then I hope she is having a great time.

Not quite the fan of Naomi as Ent apparently is, I'm still sorry she's in the hospital. But good news that she was with a Brazillian billionaire. Last I'd heard (and maybe this is old news) she was with Gerard Butler. She's a maneater and I was concerned for Gerard's well-being.

TMZ says she had a cyst removed -- and travelled all the way from London to Sao Paulo to have it done. I find it difficult to believe that an Englishwoman would travel to a tropical country to have a cyst removed. Wazzup?
Plastic surgery. 3 days? She's either having her implants replaced or having her ass done. And I don't feel sorry for her either. I feel sorry for her victims.
Ummmm, did anyone see the post on CNN.com? they reported she was under the care of the infectious disease specialist AND a gynecologist. Hmmmmmmm, sounds......interesting to say the least!
Jenn I've read insectologist which makes more sense. UK news has "a laparoscopic surgical procedure" to remove a cyst & in addition being treated by an infection specialist. There are many bugs in the tropics that bite and/or lay eggs which travel through a human forming cysts and causing infections. Gross. Kind of sounds plausible that she went to the doctors most experienced in that field. Just the thought of bugs, I'd be on a plane too and not to my local GP.

Yeah I could not agree more, you only go the plastic surgery capital for one thing. She probably got a nice check from the Brasilian billionaire for spending some "time" with him and went off to get some improvements/enhancements.
Hey Enty...no comment on Jen Garner showing up to the Oscars alone? You would think Ben would make every effort to go, given that:
a) he was in L.A. (see Kimmel video)
b) his brother was nominated
c) a movie he was involved in (directed?) was also nominated
d) his "wife" was presenting

He must be one of those bad widduw boy types who wants a Mommy wife; a taskmistress when he wants to be praised for being good, and to make him feel extra deliciously naughty when he gets caught NOT being good. I refuse to believe that he actually keeps trying to turn over a new leaf and failing. He must know by now that he's not going to change. But he still likes the high maintenance women: Paltrow, Lopez, now this. The more famous ones just wouldn't put up with it I bet. If Jen is really a balls-out social climber type, I guess this is called karma.
heather I too heard initally that it was an infection specialist & an insectologist - I believe from Jonathan Wheatley FT Brazil correpsondent. Now her PR is adding a gynecologist to the mix sounds like retroactive spin. I'd go w/ Wheatley's info as he's a legit on the scene reporter and agree there's something majorly hinky about this. Bugs in the coochie LOL.

Hey. I'm Brazillian and i think I can help you guys with the news that we get. She's in the best hospital of the country, considered the best of South America. Seriously, there’s no better place for her to be. It’s A+++++. The hospital reports that she was there for taking out and ovary’s cist, and is doing well. She’ll probably stay for the rest of the week, but nothing is for sure. Oh, and as for the good old bitch Naomi, she’s having major diva attack. No nurses are allowed in the room, and the phones are blocked. Apparently she’s not happy that the press found out, with indicate us that it was probably more than that cist.
She was in Brazil for carnival, where she stayed with friends. Well, she’s really connected around here, and has High Society Friends, including some actors and famous people. Oh, and about that Marcus guy, he’s the owner of an huge company, and what we hear around is that he’s her official boyfriend.
