Another "Lost" Actor Is Busted
In what is fast becoming Hawaii's national pasttime, another Lost actor was arrested this morning on suspicion of drunken driving. Daniel Dae Kim who portrays Jin-Soo Kwon on the show was arrested about 3am, booked in downtown Honolulu and released about 5am. That is some very quick service. Two hours from arrest to bail. If this were you or I, we would still be there, lonely and calling out to mama.
Can't remember all the other Lost actors who were pulled over? Let's take a look back, shall we.
Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Dec. 1, 2005 when police spotted their vehicles weaving along Pali Highway. Both pleaded guilty, and both were gone from the show by season's end.
On Sept. 2, 2006, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Mr. Eko") was arrested and accused of disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. The charges were later dropped when Akinnuoye-Agbaje provided proof that he possessed a license. His character was killed off by a smoke monster in the first half of that season.
Hmmm. Arrest leads to bye-bye time. I wouldn't sign an extension on that lease Daniel.

YOu know, the producers of Lost can deny deny deny, and pretend that these deaths were written in, but I really dont think they planned on ditching Ana Lucia and Eko as fast as they did....I think they HAVE been dismissing people based on their arrests! Either that, or the actors have been getting tanked and driving home after finding out they've been fired!
Trix, I'm with the latter. As interlaced as all those characters are, there's no way they can suddenly switch gears. It's totally "I got my death sentence today, there goes my easy payday working in Hawaii. I'm gonna get hammered."
I guess he is the next character to get kicked off of lost. I think if I worked on lost, I would hire a driver.
Honolulu media reports that he was arrested on SUSPICION of drunken driving... but yeah, posted bail at 5 AM.

Its fun to speculate the reason why they kill characters off but doesn't always work that way. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was an unhappy actor who clearly did not want to stay in the show and advocated a quick exit. So far not one of the Lost group has not had much positive to say about the man.
There have been other "deaths" on LOST that have had nothing to do with DUI troubles.
Over in California celebs get busted for one thing or another, but on Hawaii its BIG news so we hear about it a lot quicker.
